So, since it seems a lot of plotting is occuring over the cbox, and I'm OCD about wanting to be able to read things back, I've created this LOVELY thread for all of us to talk on. So...yeah...go ahead an...umm....plot or something....

All righty then!
So, I was thinking about introducing a second Tallamous character. He would be one of the only survivors from Evening's caravan (since I may decide that one or two others made it out alive, but the new character has lost contact with them.)
Maybe he had been drawn to the battle held earlier...all that dark energy would call the attention of any magical being, after all, and he beleives that Devon and Rojo are now holding Evening hostage...in a sense.
This could be a chance at an interesting confrontation, or I could just let it drop. What do you think?

No way! It sounds priceless--I think you should go ahead and do it. ;D Awkward position to explain as well. Poor Devon though, his carriage will be quickly running out of space...

If space really is a problem, I was already thinking of having this character, who Evening will call Ant though this is just a nickname that I will explain later, bring his own wagon. It would be very small, but pulled by one of the original lions from the caravan even though the wagon itself would be kind of rickety and small.
And I would probably still have Evening travel with Devon and Rojo in their carriage, just because Ant's wagon really would be very small. He's wouldn't be a merchant any more...
Also, do you mind if I hold off until tomorrow? I'm feeling kind of stressed tonight. I have a paper to get started on and I'm having trouble dealing with my anxiety. *shakes head sadly at self* The messes I get myself into...

I don't blame you, I have a some homework I've been putting off as well....which of course, is due tomorrow. *sighs pitifully* So just take your time, as much time as you need.
As for Ant and the wagon, it does sound like a good idea--after all, I'm sure he'd have his own means of transportation. I just imagine he must feel lonely, being in the small carriage by himself.

Oh, sure! I finally get this thing running again and you're gone! *sulks*
Just kidding, I'm good. Well, I want to take a baseball bat to both my laptop, for being the defiant bane of my existence that it can be and my grandmother desktop for being slower than my mind when I stress out, but other than that, I'm perfectly fine! No sulking for me!
As for Ant, I have an idea for him in this regard, as well. Evening was the only child in the caravan, so Ant is going to be much older. I'm thinking a century older, and therefor very protective of Evening. There is no way he's going to let her stay alone in that carriage with two human males! So the poor lion will probably get to pull the wagon all by herself while all four of them ride in Devon's carriage. This will mean that, for a while, we will have an interesting degree of animosity radiating off of a brawny, stereotypical Tallamous male as he seethes in an awkward silence punctuated only by awkward questions that will probably embarass Evening...
Oh god, I'm evil! I'm basing this guy off of my grandfather! You have no idea how fun this is going to be!
And, should they run out of space, or should Ant prove too great a pain, he can be banished to his wagon. We'll just have to see how the thread goes...
See? I'm a genius! This will be perfect!
Oh, and I'm planning on divulging a few interesting things about Evening that may shock the others...*smiles* Oh, this is good. This is REALLY good. I am definately going to start after my classes tomorrow!

Squeejeee! I'm excited! I can't wait to see what kind of trouble Rojo and mine's characters get into with these Tallamous (tallamouses?).
So you had but not disappoint us Asila! *crosses arms with a stern look* *shifty eyes* Yes, that is just a joke. ;D I know you NEVER disappoint us.
P.S. I'm glad to hear your computer is up and running again. Sorry I had to take off last night, but sleep was calling to me.

Oh, oh, another idea! Hmm, I don't seem to have any shortage of them at the moment.
All right, so while I was writing Foresan's background, I came up with a very interesting twist. The twist is the mysterious item that the Tallamous merchants were carrying...and that they were attacked for. I wrote that the other two surviving merchants, Kalia and Syte, delivered it too it's owner...but what if I changed that and it is Foresan who has it now? And what if this item is related to the crystal in some way? Perhaps this item could be used in some obscure way that no one has quite figured out to find the crystal? And that would be an excellent reason for a rallied band of brigands to attack the wagon...
Hmm...
Oh, and one small thing before I forget. This mushroom thing is driving me crazy! I just can't decide whether they should be poisonous or harmless. Should I just have Foresan show up and be such a distraction that everyone forgets about the mushrooms? That would be a releif to Rojo.

Oh, I really like the crystal idea! I think that would add perfectly to the tension. *shifty eyes* I was actually planning on Darmos joining our ever growing group as well you see.....,
As for the mushroom, I think Rojo should decide that, so go bother him!

Oh, it sounds as though everything is going to work out splendidly! You know, I think I'm going to take an idea from the last season of Inu Yasha and have the object be something that begins to glow when it's in relatively close proximity to the crystal. Maybe within a mile? Or even ten? I'll let you choose the exact distance.
Now, time to brainstorm what the item would be...hmm, perhaps a necklace? A silver dove pendant on a woven chain? Perhaps with a moonstone dangling from it's claws? Look out, I'm about to get descriptive here. I have a necklace (or did until my sister took it) that had a sliver sparrow pendant, the outspread wings of which were connected at the tips to the chain, so it seemed more as though it were suspended in flight instead of just dangling from a metal link the way most pendants are. And now, if I may take this design one step further, imagine a polished moonstone about the size of a quarter(which would still only be half the width of the sparrow, or dove, in this case) dangling from the birds claws...Oh! And the moonstone would be in a tear drop shape (try not to roll your eyes at the extensive symbolism). As for why I would choose a moonstone and not a different gemstone, I just think they are the most mysterious stones. Nothing else seems to spark with it's own light the way a moonstone does. Also, the white color and blue shine would symbolize purity...
Oh, and it would be the stone that would glow when it neared the crystal, since that just seems to make sense since magic glowing stones are kind of the norm in magical worlds.
What do you think? Would that be the 'mysterious item' we were hoping for?
As for the mushrooms, I think I will go pester Rojo with a pm. But in the meantime, should I ignore the whole dilemma and just introduce Foresan? Devon could always bring it up again. If he thinks Rojo is in trouble, he probably wouldn't stop worrying...

((You really write so much on your posts, it makes me feel as though I need to think of more things to say, just to keep up!))
Well, first you need to clarify how the item allows them to track stuff down. After all, it wouldn't be THAT useful if it ONLY told you that the Crystal was within a certain radius. For instance, if you wanted to find the crystal, you'd have no idea where to begin searching. I haven't seen Inu in a few years, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. What I was thinking though, is that Ant knows it can be used in tracking, but doesn't know how it works. Instead, he only knows it begins to glow within 3 mile radius. How about that?
The description sounds pretty, go ahead and use it--or modify it if you like.
As for the whole thing about Tallamous bandits attacking them, I actually have an idea as to who sent the bandits after them. (Care to know?)
And for the mushrooms, well....if a big antlerish tallamous male showed up attacking Devon, Rojo, and Jenri, I'm sure that Devon just might forget about Rojo's poisoning, if only for a bit ...*shifty eyes*

First of all, I seem to blab a lot. I'm just an incoherent rambler that thinks too much, though I can go both ways on that one. My mind will freeze on occasion, as well.
As for my reference to Inu Yasha, it was a pretty small thing. They just used shards of a crystal to find...shoot, what was his name? Naraku? Don't ask me for details, it's been a while since I've last seen the show too.
Also, I guess the pendant could emit a faint, magical frequency that changes depending on how close the crystal you are, though you'd have to know how to tune into it to really use it effectively. Ant doesn't know how to do this, so what you suggested about his knowing only what the glowing means will work out perfectly.
And yes, I want to know who sent the bandits after them! I'd blurt a guess, but I wouldn't want to be right and ruin your secret plot, assuming that this has become part of it.
Lastly, I guess I will just hold off until Rojo responds to my pm, then?

I can tell. -_-
Oh, I remember those scenes! Wow, it's been forever since I've seen Inu...I sort of gave up on it with it spanning out a billion episodes and what not.
Glad you like the idea--I think it should work quite well.
Go ahead and blurt, this is what this thread is for after all, and anyone who enters here has to put up with possible spoilers.
I dunno, I'm sure you could respond without rojo being around...unless you REALLY wanted to wait for his point of view....

Ha ha ha. Thanks for the face!
As for Inu (your abreviations are really catchy) I really liked the show at first, though I also get kind of annoyed when things get too drawn out. Seven seasons, or however many are out there, is way too many. Especially when the main plot never seems to resolve itself. *sighs* Too bad, since I really loved Sango, and Kirara, and Seshomaru (another difficult spelling), and Koga, and everyone else, for that matter!
As for what I was goint to blurt, my number one guess was the mysterious Tallamous tyrant! My second guess would be Damos, just because he has the jewel and would be the one most threatened by such an item, but for now my final answer is Tyrant!
And I think I am going to wait for Rojo. I know it's a small thing, but it's still just the type of thing that hangs me up. Besides, I already pm'd him. I'd feel mean if I didn't wait for his response!

*Grins* Anytime.
Yeah, I loved the first episode of Inu! I was a really dedicated fan (until my cable died), except it just went on and on forever in repetitive circles! I mean, I have no problem with long series, as long as there is still an actual point! But with Inu, watching one episode was no different than watching any OTHER episode! The beginning was good, but it quickly became--"Quick, the monster has a jewel shard! [One fight scene later] Then, one of 2 things would happen: 1) Yeah! We have a jewel shard! 2) Damn you Naraku, you stole our jewel shard! It ticked me off -_-
Hmm....yes, no, maybe? There IS an actual character involved, you know...
That's true. You'll just have to leave us all in suspense, lol!
