No such luck.

I wonder if I can just break the lock off with the pocket knife. I try to do so.

The pocket knife snaps and the lock jams permenantly. Congratulations.
YOU EARNED AN ACHIEVEMENT! "Total Cock-up"

Aww, not cool! *pouts* How come you can never do the realistic, easier-solution method! It's perfectly realistic to destroy an old, withered lock! Oh well. I decide to check the door, to see if it's open like my cell had been.

Because then the (fictatious) world wouldn't be interesting, would it? But beyond the door is...my oh my! A beautifully layed table piled high with fruit, meat, fish, pastries and more! It's the most immense feast you've ever seen, real or not!
On the opposite side of the room as the long table is a small four-legged table with a single apple on it. The apple is yellow and red and it looks fairly simple, not like the rich beautiful shining things on the right side...

I observe both tables. Something certainly feels fishy here. Mmm, fish...No bad! Staring at all that food makes me hungry, but I have the feeling I shouldn't eat. Let Pan's Labyrinth be warning enough for me. With my luck, the second I take a bite, a monstrous creature would clobber me. But I go over to the small table with the one apple to better inspect it.

The small table is old and the legs are uneven and old. Underneath the apple is a simple yet dirtied and shabby handkercheif.

I pick up the apple to remove the handkerchief before setting the apple back down. I really want to eat, but I'm not sure I should. So I inspect the handkerchief instead.

...It's a handkercheif. What's there more to say?

I pocket the handkerchief then take my chances biting into the apple. I'm too hungry not to.

This apple tastes fine and there are no keys sneakily hidden in this one.
You think you can hear scribbling coming from the wall to the east...

After eating the apple and seeing everything is perfectly fine, I'm really tempted to have at the rest of the feast, except I then catch sound of the scribbling. I make my way to the east wall cautiously.

As you approach the wall, the scribbling suddenly stops and you hear footsteps moving hurriedly away, though muffled by the wall.

I try to silently follow the footsteps along my side of the wall.

If you were to try and follow the footsteps you would end up running through the wall, as the footsteps appear to be leaving in the same direction as your wall.
