"Have you had anything to eat?" I ask.

I smile. "Well, I have some food." I go through my inventory, pulling out some stuff. "I imagine you must be hungry. Here, have something."

You offer the man some food, but then remember that you have none!

No, I do have food. Just go look back a couple pages on here. You even said I "packed all the FOODSTUFFS" I could possibly need. Therefore, I have food with me.

That's right, you packed all the SHOTGUN SHELLS you thought you might need into your INVENTORY.

After bundling all the food you need in your INVENTORY you proceed to the next room you prepare to step into blackness, but before you do, you suddenly hear various hisses coming from the room ahead. Hisses like snakes. What part of that doesn't say FOOD? I have food in my inventory, damn it! Therefore, I can offer it!

You offer the man your SHOTGUN SHELLS and he wolfs down some gratefully.

I smile at the man. Not feeling particularly hungry right now, I don't anything myself. Instead, I sit contemplatively, trying to think of another solution.

As you assume a Winnie The Pooh pose and think hard, you can hear fain scribbling coming from a wall to the north again...
