Severus quickly retreats back to the potion, a slight smirk on his lips. Without even a glance at the recipe, he opens one of his containers and spills out the contents. He swiftly pulls his chopping knife out of its case with a rather showy gesture. Blade glistens in the low light as he begins to slice what appear to be roots of some kind.

She laughs at rukh's incompetence. She would take notes too, but it reminds all too much of her dreaded Advanced chemistry class. It's not that she's particularly bad at the subject, only that is goes way to fast and hurts her head. So, her brain is officially off though she stares convingly at snape's technique as though she were studying his methodology.
