Usha just looked confused and grabbed onto Shiku's arm, it was clear she was going to be good because she didn't know what was going on. A few seconds the culprit who made that noise came storming into the room with a flustered looking Kealya at his heels. He was a bigger man with a beard and his clothing told that he hailed from India. He was fuming as he marched up to Isis. It seemed that Kealya was trying to clam this man down but it wasn't working and when she stopped she rushed past him to stand next to Isis leaning over to whisper in her ear. "I'm sorry not matter what I said he demand to see you." Isis nodes her head and gave the girl a pat on her upper arm. "Thank you Kealya that will be all." Kealya gave a bow and ran out of the room.
Isis then smiled down to the man before her. "My dear old friend what an honor it is to see you again. What is it I can do for you." "Don't dear old friend me Isis you know why I am here. You promised your first born to my son and now I hear that she is married off to some strange man and they all ready have children." He then stops the two little girls in the laps of their grandparents and gave a scoff. "That can't be them they look to old! Isis what trickery are you up to?!" Isis gave a little laugh at this running her fingers threw Ank's hair. "Why nothing at all and if I recall correctly I said no such thing about promising Nefertari to your first born son. I think you just made that up." She had a sickly sweet smile on her face and her voice mimicked it as well.

Shiku understood the conniving smile on his wife's face. She was a cunning woman, and he didn't doubt for a second that she never promised Nef's hand to anyone. Still, he knew she may have heavily implied... and allowed others to think what they would. Though he had never said anything about her tactics before, he had always wondered what his wife would do when the day came that Nef had to marry someone with all these Gods and Goddesses thinking their son would marry theirs. He was certain Isis had had a plan... but Daemon's appearance and marriage was so unexpected, she wasn't sure if he had just nullified all that plotting. He frowned. God damned Daemon.
But it wouldn't do to allow this God to storm into their home and make such demands without defending the new additions to their family. "There is no trickery," Shiku agreed. "The man our daughter married was neither man nor god, but something closer to spirit." It wouldn't do to give lengthy explanations that couldn't be understood either way. "But have a seat, considering that you've already invited yourself in," he said, pointing out discreetly at his rudeness.

The god snapped his head over into Shiku's direction now looking for pissed off then he had before. "No trickery!? I don't believe you for a second, you who tricked Isis into marring him. I can't believe that there is something around here that is neither man or god." He then turns his head back to look at Isis. "And I can believe you would let him do your fighting for you." This was a mistake on his part to say. In A flash Isis was on her feet Ank now being held in her arms her voice now booming out over the room. "How dare you insult the validity of my husbands words. How dare you seep to my Pharaoh in such a matter. When you are in my land you will abide by my laws. Shiku is king and as such he has his own words to speak and you will listen. He is more then just my husband here and if yo step out of line one more time you will regret it." Isis then takes her set again letting the little girl return to her lap. The other God remained silent picking his next word carefully. "Well Isis even with this threat I still don't except this marriage and those children. Until I meet this man and see for myself."

Shiku was feeling more than just irate when the pompous God began to speak to him, but before he could move to defend himself, Isis was already booming with rage herself. Dear god, she was a frightening woman; even as he was filled with pride and admiration and love for her for coming to his defense and couldn't help but smile... that woman just inspired terror. Man he loved her, but thank god he wasn't standing where that other God was.
Shiku turned his head to look back at the intruder, and immediately had to stifle a laugh--which he almost failed to do. This was just ridiculous. What right did he have to proclaim that he wasn't going to accept the marriage or children. But there was more weight to the God's words than he had known.
The God hadn't come alone. Two others appeared, walking through the hallway. They had barraged in now that one had already made his way. They too obviously had wanted Nef for their sons. They too were obviously in agreement with what this God said. And if there were more like these three arrogant Gods, waiting just beyond the gates of their home... this could be a problem.
"Well then..." Shiku began somewhat diplomatically, before his sharp yellow eyes glanced sidelong to Isis. "Perhaps we should allow them all to meet our new son-in-law."

Isis just had a look of pure irritation as she leaned back in her chair giving a sigh. She looked back to the men and saw that another had joined them, this time a goddess and she was just as angered as the other three gods. Isis looked to her husband now and gave a node of her head. "Yes I think you are right." She snaps her fingers and called a servant to her. "Please be a dear and go and fetch Daemon for me." The servant gave a bow and walked off to go get him. Isis then turned her attention back to the four Gods and waved her hand summing up chairs for them. "Please have a set while you wait for our new prince." The Goddess took a set and the first god, all be it very grumpy, did sit down. "He will be here shortly."

Meanwhile, from where Daemon lay with Nef, his eyes opened, bright with clarity and then sharpening with distaste. He nudged his new wife, bidding her to rise. "Get up Nefertari. There is a situation just beyond the reaches of this room."

Nef grumbled at this but sat up rubbing her eyes, her hair a hot mess. She looked down at him with a yawn. "What are you talking about--" The knock at the door stopped her train of thought. "Enter." The servant walked into the room and gave a deep bow. "Please forgive me but Prince Daemon the Goddess wishes to see you." Nef looks over to Daemon with a raised eyebrow. "I'd ask you how you did that but I am just going to let it happen. Go ahead of me I will catch up."

Daemon got up from the bed, shadows enveloping him once more so that he wore the attire he had been wearing coming to this world. And rather than leaving with the servant, he simply turned back into a shadow and flew along the floor.
For the waiting gods, his entrance was sudden. They saw a flash of black creep along the walls, pool at the floor, and then the shape of a man pulled up from it. The shadows slunk off of his skin like water droplets falling off one emerging from a lake. And there he stood, with his near albino-complexion and black, black armor. He turned his hand in a polite gesture as he bowed. "Gods and Goddess of the lands, I am Prince Daemon of Hell, Son of the First Fallen Star in the Sky."

There was a collective mummer as he had appeared. The Goddess who had arrived last now spoke in a very clam and quite voice. "So you are the man that has married Nefertari? I also hear that you have two daughters that have the appearance of two year old?" As if to answer her question the two girls had jumped from the laps their where on and ran over to their father pulling at his arms wanted him to pick them up. The Goddess raises her eyebrow at this. "How is it possible that your children look this old already?"

Daemon was quite tempted to raise his eyebrow in turn at this woman, but he was wiser than to test the situation in such a time. He let his daughters cling to him, but this time, he didn't pick them up this one time. He disliked that such young 'Gods' assumed to be greater than he. "I am not human, nor have I ever been, nor will I ever be. It is from my lineage that they grew with such seemingly impossible speed, just as I did at my conception," he explained simply.

The Goddess nodded her head seeming to think that this was a reasonable explanation. To he it was obvious that this man was speaking the truth about what he may or may not be but the other god sitting next to her spoke up. "Even if your children can grow at the rate you say then tel us how is it that Nefertari has already had children? To all of our knowledge there wasn't even an announcement of her pregnancy." At this Isis spoke up behind Daemon. "That would be because of me I kept it under wraps. The situation around here was tense and I didn't need any of you butting into our personal lives... As you four have done today."
As Daemon ignored his daughters Usha started to become more urgent to get his attention. She didn't know how to deal with Daemon not giving her attention. Ank looked to her sister with a worried look. "Sister clam yourself can't you see he must behave." Usha turns and looks to her sister and nodes her head taking her father's hand. She didn't want to get her father in trouble.

Daemon, picking up on the mental waves cast out by his daughters, picked up on the conversation. 'That's a good girl, Usha. I'll reward you both once this trifling little ordeal is over with.' "Nefertari herself was only pregnant for a day..." Daemon could not resist but to allow his lips to curl up. "Had it been any longer, it would have been a danger to her well-being, you see."
"This is nonsense," said one of the gods, turning to the one who first stormed in. "Do you believe any of this. Spirits, they say. Were there such entities, we would know them well. We would have formed them. They would be serving us."
Daemon frowned faintly at this. He did not like to be placed in the same sub-category as golemns and the like. "I assure you, I am no God's creation, if that is what you imply."
"And where is this, so-called Hell? Never have I heard of such a place!"
"It is the same land I came from," Shiku added.
"So this is your doing, Trickster God!" The furious god looked to Isis. "He may have bested you, Isis, but to try to pull the wool over eyes in this, that is inexcusable!"
Shiku was starting to glower in turn. "I had nothing to do with this arrangement!" It was a momentary slip, but in his anger, Shiku continued and said, "I was against it!" He realized his mistake a moment too late, but there was no taking back words.

Isis stands up now at this before she gave a slight glare to Shiku, she had this under control and now it was just getting out of hand. "Enough! I will stand for this no more. If you are so agents this marriage then why not do what we gods do best?"
The other female now stand up at this knowing what Isis was getting at. "You wish to show Daemon true states as he says and with a contest I might assume?"
Isis nodes her head to the other. "Yes a contest, which ever prince can show that they are the strongest will marry Nefertari..." She then glanced down at the two children in the room with a slight look of worry on her face but voice nothing about it.

Shiku looked apologetic. Not that he was to blame for four angry gods barging in here and trying his patience, but that slip-up of his patience had caused this new mess, he felt.
Daemon, on the other hand, narrowed his eyes slightly, and then turned to Isis. "Goddess, and mother-in-law, of mine, are you suggesting that my marriage and my daughters are not valid by entertaining this nonsense? Did you not oversee it yourself? That is insult to you as well! Why should we be made to suffer, and more importantly, if these supposed rules that I've been playing within can be changed at a moment's notice due to the whimsy of some precarious Gods, then how is anyone suppose to trust the system ever?" He then gestured loosely behind him with artful unfurling of one hand. "If they wanted their children to marry your daughter so badly, they should have acted sooner to cement their positions. Instead, they waited and did nothing, and now they come to you now to cry about their loss. Agreeing to this contest is merely rewarding such insanity rather than reprimanding it!"
Ah, Daemon--Shiku thought to himself--he always had the right answers. He knew all the logical things to say and do. Even back in Hell, he had known that the First Prince never ever truly lied. Daemon manipulated situations, he slanted the truth, he deceived... But how do you fare here, Prince of Hell, so far from your element? Shiku saw the Daemon he had known trying to manipulate the situation to his purpose, and the fact of the matter was that, even with that element of artifice, everything Daemon had said was right. There should be no reason for the devil to have to demonstrate his abilities. Being made to do so was insulting--and Daemon was insulted. So much was clear from the darkness in Daemon's eyes, despite his otherwise neutral expression. Poor Daemon--Shiku never thought he'd be thinking such words--but this world is far from yours. And now you must adapt and learn to live at that "whimsy of precarious gods" you spoke with such distaste just moments ago.
Shiku counted down from three inside his mind, and just as he had predicted, just on time, one of the gods turned from where he had been quietly passing an aside with another to look at Daemon and then at Isis. "If he does not comply, we will have no reason to consider him and his daughters valid. And if you insist upon keeping this invalid, we both will go to war with you and your land." Shiku didn't doubt now that two gods joined allegiance against them, the rest would jump on that bandwagon, enforcing this nonsense about a competition. Daemon had been put in his "place" because being right or false mattered little to this situation. Usha and Ank could feel their father's energy flicker with silent distaste and rage like a fitful flame, even if his expression remained unmoved.
Instead, he simply turned to Isis, playing along with this pandering game he so despised. "If my Goddess wishes it..." he said, crossing his hand over his chest as he gave a small, but polite bow. "...I shall comply."

Isis listen to the words spoken by her son-in-law as he had addressed them to her and she couldn't help but give a sympathetic look to him. Maybe it was in her nature as the mother god to want to coo to him to clam him down and inform him that there weren't really any rules that the gods fallowed. They merely made alliances with each other to stop wars from happening. Where ever it was that Daemon and Shiku had come from it was clear that there where a set of rules to be fallowed bu not here. In a world with many gods and clutter you got by with getting along with the others. In this world if two or more god didn't approve of what you did and came storming into your home to complain about it they could get their way, even if Isis fully agreed with Daemon on this.
In a matter of moments things got out of hand as now all four of the gods where saying that if they didn't hold his contest they would go to war. Isis could take on two maybe three but all four was out of the question. She gives a little scoff now. "Very bold of you all making this new alliance and threatening me and my people. You are all just lucky that the days of the war Goddess have passed or you may have regretted that choice, but no matter."
She walks down now to Daemon and places her hand on ether side of his shoulders looking into his ice blue eyes with her gold ones. "Daemon this needs to be done. As much as you are going to hate it..." She then leans in a whispers to them. "If you want to get back at these other god for insulting you hit them where it hurts the most. Beat their sons in this fight and you will have you place back." She pulls away now giving him a little head node. "I'm counting on you, if you lose Nefertari has to leave Egypt and your girls might not be able to go with her."
Right on que Nefertari finely entered into the room fully dressed in her royal attire. She looked aorund very confused for a moment and then turned her attention to her mother. "Mother what is going on here?" Isis now makes her way across the room to Nef not even noticing that a little Usha was at her heals. Ank stayed close to her father not wanting the eyes of the other gods to be on her. As she reaches her daughter and tells her what is going to be happening in the next couple of day Nef looked shocked. Only the feeling of something tugging of her dress brings her back as she bends down and picks up Usha. "Nef are you all right?" Nef shakes her head now muttering so that the other gods wouldn't hear her. "No I'm not mother. I just had to deal with all the stress of this marriage and Daemon and I where finely starting to get along and now all of this?" She gives a sigh bring Usha closer to her with a hug. "It'll be all right Nefertari..."
