Do you want to see the most beautiful thing I ever filmed?
Now, this may not make sense to any of you, but the characters in this video are from a webcomic called Homestuck. It's pretty awesome. But I won't bore you. Out of interest, (And because it's the best in-joke EVER since only I know the characters)
Seven is Terezi (One with the red glasses) but wants to be Vriska (One with the eyepatch)
Pan is Nepeta (one with the cat ears) period.
Asila too me seems to be Kanaya (Red dress) with a little Feferi (Not in the video, for extra annoy-factor!)
Aka. . .probably a strange hybrid of Karkat (Annoyed-looking guy with the Capricorn symbol) and Vriska (see above.)
I DON'T KNOW PEOPLE. I WAS BORED. I TOLD YOU ABOUT STAIRS. I TOLD YOU BRO.

Hmm...I like the look of these characters. Now I will have to go forth and check out this web comic.
And I now feel the urge to draw a new avatar featuring Kanaya. It would be a nice change.
But who the hell is Feferi?!!! and why do I get to be the one who's taunted with a comparison to a character she hasn't even caught a glimpse of? *glowers, for now she'll have to spend at least an hour reading this web comic and hoping she'll find out*
Anyway, who do you think you're most like, Rojo?

Yeah, they're pretty awesome, but sadly if you wanted to meet any of the characters in this video, you'd have to read for about. . .FOUR hours as apposed to one. This thing is pretty long. It's also animated, which sets it apart from others. Plus the whole thing is driven by user commands, which adds to how awesome it is.
Feferi is the queen of the sea. Well, she has the royal blood on the haemospectrum (don't ask) and she acts kind of hyper but you're kind of awesome and multi-skilled too, hence Kanaya. Don't ask me, bro!
I didn't want to try and describe myself because it seemed self-centered. At a push I'd say Gamzee (the clown-guy obsessing over the rainbow) and Eridan maybe? (Eridan's just under Feferi on the Haemospectrum.) Or Karkat, I'm not sure.
D---> ALL OF THIS WILL MAKE A LOT MORE SENSE IF YOU READ IT, I'M SO EXCI----------TED! iit wiill be sooooo coool!! And that's all there really is to say on the matter. (^Yeah, there are a lot of in-jokes. A LOT.)

I've gotten pretty far by now. This web comic just keeps getting better and better! I just made it to the end of act four, and I was cracking up over the Con Air parody where John gives little Rose and Jade the rabbits. And the troll with the Cancer symbol (CG?) looks so disgusted it makes me grin. And it gets better yet when Terezi jumps in.
I'm really beginning to grow fond of John. I love characters that don't take themselves too seriously. Though my initial favorite was Rose, and I still like her quite a bit for her darkness and her tendencies toward satire. Really, though, all of them have their pluses. I think the only one I don't relate to well is Jade. Even though I can't quite put my finger on why right now. If I really like John, then why don't I like Jade? Really, the two are quite a bit alike as far as personality goes.
Huh. Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know the trolls better. I haven't come across any of their real names on my own. Oh, and I should say it's funny when Dave trounced one of the trolls at trolling. ;D

OMG, ROJO, IT'S A DOUBLE RAINBOW! All across the sky!
Heheh. I love the stuff they do with that. Especially this video. It's so awesome! Setting the techno remix to homestuck. Man, I really wish I had kept up with it. It looks so interesting now! I've never seen these dark characters before, and I really wish I knew more about them. And you're right. I DO want to be the one with the eye patch. Because he looks crazy awesome. Maybe I'll pick up reading it again once I get back to my regular college, in 2011. Gosh, it's really not that far away, is it? One more year and less an a month to the apocalypse!

You better read it again, if you know what's good for you! The trolls are really fascinating. Once you meet them, you won't want to stop reading. And the story gets really intense and engaging as it progresses. Terezi and Vriska are actually female. I thought they were male when I saw them in the video, too, because of the nature of their bad-ass appearance. When females look bad-ass, it's usually in a more seductive way. But they are very cool. I disliked Vriska intensely at first. She's kind of a complete sociopath with villainous aspirations. But it didn't take me long to warm up to her. She's incredibly amusing. And just wait till you get a feel for troll romance. It's supposed to be completely weird/nonsensical to us humans, but I actually think it makes a lot of sense. You'll see what I mean. Now Rojo, you had better get back here so I have someone to rant to, damn it! For now, I'll just have to settle for saying that I think you're a Karkat/Gamzee mix. Karkat just feels a lot like you in type, but I threw Gamzee into the mix because his approach to the other characters is a lot less antagonizing. I guess Eridan has some of your feel, too, but I can't put my finger on exactly why. Of course, my methods for gauging who you're like would sound more precise if I didn't know you only through type. I wouldn't be talking so much about the way your method of writing feels like theirs. Of course, I'm weird like that, anyway. I've found myself talking quite a bit about places and how they 'feel' lately.

Yes, I know the story is good. I read a good chunk of it, and i read the author's previously completed work, Problem Sleuth. The problem is that in having read Problem Sleuth, and being familiar with his style, and having read part of Homestuck, I know that things get really odd, and if you're not paying attention, it's pretty easy to get lost. And he updates so much, it's not really something that I could easily just jump back into, and I would have to reread from the beginning. I will definitely get around to reading it though, I've been meaning to, and all of the author's stuff is great. I would recommend reading Problem Sleuth as well--that was crazy fun. It was really the first MS Paint Adventure that he completed and had a story. You know, that I think of it, there were a bunch of really good fan made MSPA's out there that I used to read that I never finished. I should probably go find those again as well. I wonder if they're finished by now--or at least still updating. *ehem* In any case, jumping back into MSPA is basically complicated for me, and by no means a light read for me now. I've been getting into a bunch of other really great webcomics though, like String Theory, hanna is not a boy's name, Gunnerkrigg Court, Jack, and Trying Human. Oh, and I just recently found something called "Love Me Nice" which also seems rather promising. I don't know--I'm way too into webcomics. I'm never going to get any work done.

*whistles* That sounds like quite the webcomic work load. I think I'll stick to reading one at a time. But I have to say now that I'm kind of bummed out because I caught up on Homestuck and now I'll have to wait a while before I pick it up again. And I was really getting into it, too. Oh well, I'll have to settle for going through all the slides again and doing fan art to stick all over my walls at my new place. I really like the guy's style when he breaks away from the chibi-like renderings of his characters and uses a more proportionate style for his more dynamic scenes. It's pretty epic. I drew a couple pictures last night and one today (one of Kanaya that looks great and two of Kakarat, because I wasn't all that fond of the first one I did. Next I think I'll draw Rose or Dave...or another troll. I really really like the trolls. ;D )

We have fan art! Excuse the weird lighting, I'm still using a camera to photograph my work since I don't have a scanner and it's really bright inside right now. I do tend to think the odd lighting effects are interesting, though. Also, I had a horrible time finding the appropriate materials for this picture so I messed up a line or two in my frustration. And I would like to add that fan art is hard, because in trying to get the style down I have basically just copied a picture the artist drew of Karkat and am now trying to pretend I'm talented for it. Oh well.

Wow, Asila, once again you've produced an amazing piece of artwork! First of all, I love the shading on his horns. I like the way it seems darker, almost dirty at the bottom. The white secondary outer line is also really effective and stylistic in my opinion. And that's the key here: opinion. If what I said about the horns being dirty wasn't what you intended, it's probably due to my interpretation of it-- it's just how I look at it Anyway, it's a really cool piece and I should probably mention I'm really bad t critiquing art. I like it, and that's the long and short of it. I'll leave the in-depth critical analysis to Seven. I really like it.

His horns have a little hatching at the bottom, because I wanted them to look a little rough and textured. Though dirty=grungy in my vocabulary, and I tend to like grungy looking pictures. So I'll take that as a compliment. I am glad you like the white line. I couldn't think of anything complicated to do with the background, so I just thought I would do something simple. *shrugs*
