Name: Ethinae Diarial
Age: 172, appears roughly 20
Race: Guardian
Description or Picture: The combination of severely colorless attributes gives Ethinae a supremely unnerving appearance. The other Guardians tend to keep her tucked out of the way of human eyes, which she has no problem with. Her hair, long and straight, falls somewhere between her hips and her knees, depending on how tangled it is and if it’s restrained. It is the color of course salt, with only the faintest hints of silver-blue in some lights. Her skin is so pale an alabaster it seems almost translucent, and in some places, the thin blue arteries are visible beneath her skin. Her eyes only add to the eerily colorless image. Her irises are only a shade darker than the whites of her eyes, at least in low light. If anything brighter than a candle hits them, however, they seem to reflect a slightly blue hue, which, along with the faint bruise-like veins and the silver quality of her hair, is barely noticeable without intense scrutiny. Her nails are longer than average, and meticulously filed to an almost razor-like edge. Even her lips seem pale and have an almost cold-seeming pallor. She doesn’t make it any easier on herself with the way she dresses. She favors floor length immaculately white gowns and seems to have an endless supply of them. As far as anyone is able to tell, she seems to wear them because the white displays blood so beautifully.
Personality: Ethinae is a fairly genial individual, for a Guardian. She seems t have no problems being used as little more than a tool for the higher ranking Guardians and has no aspirations to power more than she already has. She is soft-spoken, polite, and generally a fairly subservient creature. If another Guardian tells her to do something, she does it, within reason. Because usually the only thing anyone asks of her is what she tends to enjoy.
History(optional): Ethinae, from a young age, was tapped for her ability to not only follow her superiors without question, but for her ability to pick up on people’s weaknesses. Combined with her immense (though not very surprising, for a Guardian) sadism, she makes an excellent “interrogator.” Since it was discovered how efficiently she can break into the minds of prisoners, there has been little else that she seems to enjoy. Inter-Guardian politics have never held any interest for her, as long as she is still permitted to torture a few prisoners, which she is usually assigned to do anyway. Mostly, her time has been spent in the Styxx, alone in her chambers beneath the Cavyrn ( and by below, it means below, not only for the obvious seclusion, but because she has no desire to fight with any other Guardian for a higher room), or, very rarely, socializing with other Guardians, if only to make sure she knows who it is she should be clearing her tormenting plans with. At one point in time, she did have a Forsaken or two, relishing the new thrill of breaking a person’s mind and body so completely, but it has been years since she bothered, preferring the much more enjoyable task of breaking people the old fashioned way.
Political Standing: What do you think?
Abilities (optional): She likes to torture. She’s good at it. Other than unnerving people simply with her presence and following orders, there’s not that much else she excels in. Her powers are honed simply to give her more options when torturing, meaning the enhanced ability to break into other’s minds and other tricks of the like.
Weaknesses (optional): She is loyal and obedient, occasionally blindly so. Any high ranking Guardian could take advantage of her. She does not do well in any situation where she has to actually be social for any amount of time longer than a quarter of an hour.
