Joseph smiles, eyes still golden like the day after the battle with Rhinoa. He's never been able to quite make them look brown again. "Sorry, that's just the role I play."

Elena rolls her eyes, looking back down at her literary analysis.
Cyn shakes her head. "You always do that. Why can't you just tell us what you do for once?"

"Because, like a magician, telling the trick would ruin the mystery."
"I.E. he wants to remain super-idol to all you young high school-ers," Tall says with a grin as he walks by.
(....what happened to Radar?))

((He's probably there... Somewhere... Or he might be off running some random errand.))
"And Cyn eats it up everytime," Darian murmurs. His twin smacks his arm.
"Shut up, Dar! Not like you don't like the stories, too!" Elena rolls her eyes again.

"Really, I'm flattered," Joseph grins. "But you can stop now. You kids probably want to finish your homework before midnight, right?"

"Yeha, so shut up, Joseph!" Elena exclaims without looking up from her homework. Dar chuckles under his breathe, but Cyn just looks down at her math and shudders, but begins anyway.

Joseph also pulls out a book. Grimm's Fairy Tale's In Context, which goes along with a class of the same name. German, western civilization, and advanced composition credits, rolled into one.

Darian in the first to finish his work, closing his history book last. He pulls out an advanced bio book he snagged from the library, laying his arm over Elena's shoulder. Cyn glances at them, then playfully chucks her pen at her brother. "How come you're always the first one done?"
"Because I have the sense to start my homework during study hall rather than chattering away blithely like we don't have tickets to the drive-in tonight."

"Aww, you guys are going to the drive in and you didn't invite me, your best friend's loser older brother?" he says teasingly. "What genre are you watching tonight? Action? Comedy? Romance?"

"Double feature. Comedy first, some cheesy thing, then horror," Elena replies.
"You're welcome to come if you want," Darian adds. "It's not like they don't sell tickets at the gate."

Joseph smiles. "I'd love to, but actually, I have plans for this evening myself."

"Well, then why'd you ask?" Elena asks testily. As usual, science makes her annoyed.
Cyn pokes her. "Don't be a brat, El."

Joseph furrows his brow. "Well...for one, I was just teasing you guys. Second of all, I was curious in general. Third off, take a chill pill."

"Sorry," she replies, slamming the book shut. "Freakin' correlation..." Darian shakes his head.
"I've offered to help you with your science homework a thousand times," he says softly.
"Yeah, but if you help out, Mr. Jameson will know I didn't do it myself." She points at him. "Genetic genius." She points at herself. "The one in the family who didn't get the science brains."

"Well, the idea is that he could explain the concepts to you so you could understand and therefore, do it yourself," Joseph says shrugging.
Tall, walking through the room again, catching parts of the conversation again, sighs melancholicly. "Lucky Zin. It must be nice to have a progeny to pass down your work to...."
"Have another kid, Dad." Joseph rolls his eyes, trying to shoe the man away. Tall smiles. "Ok, ok, I get the idea, I'm leaving--again."
