This message applies to the following Foxflame members as I request your input:

This post is in regards to the continuation of the LARP (Live-Action Roleplay) division of the Realm of Anestoril. As of recent, a number of players for my game have expressed interest in playing the game, but would prefer to play it through IM Conferencing and eventually into the Neverwinter Nights Module that I am creating. The issue at hand though is that as well, the LARP division of the game has experienced a severe dwindling in its playerbase. I am now asking the players of Anestoril (Those who have in fact played Anestoril are eligible to vote here) if they still wish to continue the LARP aspect of the game, or if everything should now be converted to an online text-based RPG for the duration until the module is completed.
In regards to those not on Foxflame, members of Anestoril so far have voted as below:
Online RPG - 6 Votes
Continue LARP - 3 Votes
There are still votes open to those not on Foxflame as well that play Anestoril, and the game can go in either direction. I shall explain the ideas below though, on what will happen should either side win the votes.
If the Online RPG vote wins:
- All current characters in the LARP above level 15 (Some exceptions may apply) will be made into NPCs and will no longer be playable. This is to encourage a smooth transition, and the conversion of high level characters to a text-based RPG is incredibly monotonous.
- Any currently running game scenarios will be discontinued, as a new scenario will apply to the game as soon as the transition is complete.
If the LARP Continuation vote wins:
- All online players will not be able to interact with LARP players in-game, stories may be heard between the two player types, but nothing more. This is not to discourage RP between online and LARP, it's just impossible to have the two platforms interact successfully.
- Any ongoing deals between LARP characters and online characters will no longer be permitted. If you have one with an online character now, it will still be preserved, but if it breaks at any time, it can not be remade.
Please PM me with your vote if you wish to vote in this important decision for the future of the Anestoril LARP. Those who wish to vote that are not part of Anestoril need to speak to me about wanting to join the game if they seek to, be it for the LARP or the online version. This vote expires on MARCH 15th, 2009 at 11:59PM. After which the verdict will be final.
So, if you're a player in Anestoril, and you haven't voted yet, vote now and send me a PM, or contact me via AIM or Email.
