what if we were all back in the 1500's under trial of the Holy Inquisition being accused of witchcraft and sorcery in Venice, Italy?
Cardanal: Bring in (names everyone, I'm too lazy).

Monk: The accussations are: witchcraft, santanism, enchanting, and other forms of magic. You will be questioned until verdict, or God save you, confession. What do you have to say for yourselves?

If they knew the full extent of what he HAS done, they wouldn't be convicting him of something so minor as witchcraft....
....however, Erik soon realizes, should they remove his mask...

It takes the monks a moment to haul the young man in. Severus had read about these trails but he never thought he would ever be subjected to one. The men before him inspire much disgust within his tainted heart. He bores his dark eyes into the cardinal’s, hoping to instill some fear and perhaps gain some knowledge of the man. He’ll need all the fodder he can get. There is about to be one hell of a verbal brawl.

Severus laughs a mirthless laugh as the monk passes. “Satan’s scorn.” he chuckles under his breath. He’ll soon show them scorn. As the monks hurriedly strap him to the chair, he has already taken steps to undo their hasty knots.

Erik sits completely at ease, not particularly caring at the moment the actions of either party, accused or judging. He looks much too entranced reafirming his knowledge of architecture by studying certain archs and windows in the building of their conviction...and perhaps a couple god areas a ghost might be able to disappear to.
