He makes a yelping squeak when the bar hits him, and nearly falls off. However, at last moment, he regains his balance and firmly stays planted on her, this time a hands coming down on her wrists. This time, rather than just trying to hold her in place he pushes down on her wrists and uses the downward force to push himself up, letting his legs swing from her back to kick her hand, hoping this blow seals the deal.

Rena cries out faintly as she slumps forward, falling limply against the floor. The bars tumble from her hands against the floor.

A menacing smile crosses Reece's face, eyes for once slightly narrowed as he lets out a soft, hiss like laughter. But in his wild mentality, he has no intention of just calling it quits there. He desires to see blood spilled tonight....

Somriad's presence suddenly floods Reece's mind, the Guardian's presence so strong that for a moment Reece wouldn't be aware of anything else. I want her alive. The presence was dark, promising a terrible punishment if the Forsaken were to disobey. Bring her to me. I'll be waiting in the holding cell. An image of the mentioned cell's door, labeled with a symbol that looked vaguely like a 3, would appear in Reece's mind. Then it vanished and Reece's thoughts would return to him. Somriad's presence had receded, but his order was firmly in place and could not be denied.

Reece's arm tenses in its upward position, denied the kill he had wanted. He shudders, his eyes widening, and with careful movements, he brings his hands back down again. "Reece brings her alive. Alive. Reece brings her alive...." he repeated to himself until he would not forget. He gets off of her, and with claws moving in slow precision, suddenly afraid of causing her more damage, he picks her up carefully. Assuming she doesn't somehow react that is.

As he lifts his weight from her, she doesn't react. As he moves to pick her up, she likewise, doesn't react. But the second she's off the ground and in his arms, her uninjured arms clutches against the iron bar once more, swinging it with all her weight against his face. And the adreneline rush of hearing "Reece brings her alive" has gifted her with the momentary strength of a mother lifting a car of her child.

Strangely enough, his lips curl inward so much it is almost cartoonish, but his eyes cross at the same time, and he falls over flat on his back, the words "alive" still on his tongue, though shifting into a groan at the end. Reece is now unconscious.
But Karina's not in the clear yet. Thrasymachus would be coming for her as well.
((And....here's where we're going to have to stop. We really went to far. I'm going to have a heck of time tomorrow doing a 'meanwhile' with Rojo until they get caught up.
So Rojo, do continue. We have a meanwhile between T. and Kite after all.))

Rena boosts herself off the ground, and starts off for the back door of the factory. She moves with a limp, heavily favoring her injured left leg, but moving a quick a clip. SHe flicks the lock and moves out the back door, supporting herself with her injured arm and a bar, while still brandishing the second in case another threat shows themselves. In a matter of moments, she reaches the entrance to part of the intricate tunnel system below the city and disappears from sight.

Unfortunately, she doesn't disappear fast enough. Once in the tunnel system, the earth suddenly shoots up in front of her, blocking her path. And before she can turn around, a hand snatches at her.

She cries out, stumbling. It seems her body is just about ready to give up.

The deep, cool voice whispers now commands her with its unwavering, assertive tone. "It is time to give in, little pup." He grabs her fiercely, and even though she isn't pinned against anything, his arms and grip is strong that she wouldn't be able to move. "Time to sleep," is the last thing she'd hear before she is magicked into unconsciousness.

She slumps down, slipping into darkness almost willingly.

With her eyes closed, Asila had been listening closely to the scuffle. She had been sure Reece had the rebel when she heard him mutter to himself that he had to bring her in alive, but the sound of departing footsteps told her she'd assumed his victory too soon. She craned her head in the direction of the sound, just in time to see the rebel vanish.
Asila curses loudly, genuinely afraid, now. If Somriad wanted the girl alive, and Thrasymachus would look bad if he didn't secure her, then she knew from experience that she was scheduled for a great deal of suffering before the next twenty-four hours had passed if the girl got away. With that thought in mind, she rolled back on her side and began to struggle with arm to push the machine off of her. It wasn't budging, but she wasn't about to stop trying.

Footsteps echo once again through the factory. But these are clearly not any of a person sneaking around. They are a male's. He puts something slightly heavy down. She wouldn't be able to see it, but another unconscious body would be next to it. Kite and Rena, both securely bound. "Asila," her new master's voice calls.

Asila froze, her ears plastering themselves flat against her skull. She was in for it now. Silently she began to panic. What was she going to do? What would she say?
She shook her head to clear it. Whatever came, she would face it bravely. She told herself this over and over again, and it was a philosophy she was determined to live. She took a deep, calming breath, and called back to her new master. "I'm here." Her voice wavered. Insulting herself, she focused on making it stronger and elaborated. "I can't move. This machine collapsed on my arm."
And, despite her attempts at being strong and brave, she said on a defeated sigh "Please, forgive me.", even though she knew he never would.
