Name: Somriad Anthainn
Age: Actual: 199
Appearance: 32
Race: Guardian
Description or Picture: Somriad is six foot five, lean but muscular, with skin as pale and luminous as that of moonlit snow. Though these features hardly distinguish him from the rest. His hair color is silver-blue, and darker at the roots than it is at the tips. The roots are a rich sapphire that fades into a metallic steel gray that pales to brightest silver at the tips, and flickers in a peculiar fashion. Kind of like the delicate flame of a candle that dances in a warm glimmer when caressed by a gentle draft of air. It is cut shorter than the young generally prefer, only an average six inches in length, and is perpetually swept back from an intense gaze and aloof countenance. His eyes mimic the blue moonstone in color ( i42.tinypic.com/15g73vl.jpg ) and can be either bright or dark, depending solely on the angle at which the light chooses to greet them. They can flash in anger, or sparkle with laughter. They can become shadowed by hatred, or gain all the tranquil depth of a restful soul. To put it bluntly, they are as unfathomable as their owner. Their slightest flicker could be assigned a handful of different meanings.
His facial features are as distinguished as those of a middle-aged man, but retain all of the ethereal beauty that has won over the Guardians human flock. Without the features of younger-appearing Guardians to compare his to, he would still look very young. But among his own, the deeper set of his eyes and notable prominence of his cheekbones hint at a greater age than most could even guess at.
Personality: Somriad would come across as easy-going and seem to possess a kind nature to anyone who hasn't been around him long enough to experience otherwise. He carefully monitors his emotions and seldom betrays a sentiment that could be used against him on a later occasion. Beneath the calm and friendly veneer lies a ruthless streak that knows no limit and comprehends nothing of morality. And yet, even when this darker chasm that lies beneath the convincing act comes into play his facade never fails him. He has been known to commit the most twisted acts of cruelty with the warmest of smiles lying upon his lips. His personality can be best summarized as that of a casual sadist.
History: Somriad was born to parents who are now dead, to both the world itself and to his thoughts, which never took much interest in them. Guardians tend to have a distant relationship with their parents, but considering the reserve with which they communicate this is hardly shocking. Somriad gained prestige though years and a shrewd use of intimidation tactics and veiled threats. In the beginning, he was more willing to exert himself and a tad more unscrupulous in his tactics than he is at present. Which is really saying something. Under cover of youth and all of the underestimations the older Guardians assign to it, he slowly worked his way upward by proving himself willing and able to do what it takes to gain power and keep it. The Guardians without ambition to equal his were quickly surpassed in prestige, and the one's that proved a greater threat were...neutralized by whatever means Somriad found necessary. There were no deaths, however, because elaborate threats and well-planned frights proved motivation enough for his the majority of his rivals. By the time he was one hundred he was one of the ill-defined elite, basically a council of the Guardians most formidable elders. Many of these he has now out-lived, and, if not an undisputed leader, he has the respect (though resentful, for the Guardians seldom defer to another with positive sentiments) of the majority of his race.
While this careful game of wits and power was advancing in his life, he also gained as close a friend in Desire as a Guardian can ever expect to achieve, has fathered a child by a the Guardian Evangeline who he himself admires in a Guardians inconsistent fashion, and fathered a child whose character he has never cared for and who's few decades haven't seen an improvement in personality. He can also boast an ability to control multiple Forsaken, though his last acquisition has proven itself...difficult.
Political Standing: By serving his own he best serves himself.
Weaknesses: A viscously guarded secret.
