Name: Aretha Nabul

Race: Loup Garou and human

Description: Aretha is fairly unassuming. Roughly five foot, four inches, she is of a moderately pale complexion and ash blonde hair. Her eyes are a rich chocolate brown. Her only true distinguishing feature is a rough scar on the left side of her neck and lower face.

True to her unassuming nature, she dresses almost entirely in the drab grey that is the unofficial uniform of anyone living and blending in with the dirty habitat of Manticore.

Personality: The only word that can be used to describe the personality that Aretha projects in inconspicuous. She spends most of her time cultivating the front that keeps her secret identity hidden. However, she is one hundred percent committed to the Rebellion. She is clever, devoted, and a harsh taskmaster to herself. She personally oversees all of the attacks planned for the Rebellion, making sure secrecy and accuracy are completely infallible, protecting as many rebellious lives as possible.

History: The majority of Aretha’s past is fairly common knowledge to the Rebellion. She was the oldest of a large family of half-wolf children. Both of her parents were devoted to protecting their children from the Guardians by never drawing attention to themselves. However, her mother’s sister was not as unpretentious. She taught Aretha, then later her two younger sisters, to use the latent magic in their bodies and assume their lupine forms.

Because of this, Aretha joined the Rebellion with her aunt at the age of fourteen. Her parents, still fearing for the well being of their younger five offspring, more or less kicked her out. So she began living with the Rebellion full time. She returned to spend time with her siblings when she could, and along with her aunt taught the two oldest of her sisters their magic.

When Aretha was nineteen, her younger sister Miranda had followed in her footsteps to join the Rebellion. Miranda was fourteen. Unluckily, the Guardians had finally pinpointed the location of their meeting before they had a chance to move on. Both Aretha and Miranda managed to escape, and moved to the closest safe house they could manage. They returned to their parents, and the Forsaken followed.

The attack that ensued was legendary in the Rebellion as one of the most devastating attacks in recent history (at least that the Guardians will admit to). Only two members of the eight person family managed to escaped with their lives, and Aretha was not completely unscathed. When she returned to the decimated Rebellion, the group was in disarray.

She took control and has maintained it ever since.

Political Standing: Aretha is the head of the Rebellion, hence her position is obvious.

Abilities: Aretha is a mastermind of plotting. She either personally designed or had a hand in designing every major attack on the guardians in the last seven years. She is willing to die for any member of the Rebellion or for her cause. She is an enthusiastic and inspiring speaker, garnering support from Rebels and occasionally civilians for their cause.

Weaknesses: Her willingness to sacrifice is one of her greater weaknesses. Her other is a lack of skill is in actual fighting. She isn’t physically strong or fast.

And, because I'm the only one playing any goddamn rebels, I think that another rebel is needed to even the odds against the oh, how many are we up to? Three Guardians and four Forsaken? Yeah. So I'm posting another.

Name: Ghost (Real name unknown)

Age: Estimated to be 23, real age unknown

Race: Human (Rebel)

Description or Picture: Ghost is a fairly average human, standing just short of six feet tall, with a slighter build than some. He is pale, though whether from genetics or simply lack of sunlight, it is unknown. His hair is a nondescript shade of pale ashy brown that is occasionally described as colorless. He is muscular, though not overly-so, and it is normally not very apparent that he is as strong as he is.

The only part of Ghost’s appearance that stands out are his pale brown eyes. The shade is somewhat amberish, and when hit by direct light, look remarkably golden, which is what got him into all the trouble in the first place.

His clothing choice is generally anything warm and unnoticeable. He wears a grey-brown jacket over a black turtleneck and dirty grey pants. Thick black leather boots complete the outfit.

Personality: Ghost was given his name because of his ability to, despite his slightly larger than average size, move almost completely silently. He never speaks, though whether that is out of choice of lack of ability, no one knows. He is most often seen at his assumed position to the right and behind his Aretha, and is her self-appointed personal bodyguard. He has some sense of humor, though it is usually unapparent behind his harsh, threatening glare or apathetic glances.

He is convinced that he owes Aretha his life, and as such, never leaves her side. What she lacks in fighting ability and speed, he more than makes up for, and as such, both for her physical safety and his mental stability, she allows him to shadow her. She is the one who first began calling him Ghost, after he had expressed some severe dislike for the variety of names the other Rebels referred to him as, including, but not limited to, Shadow, Silent, and Cat’s Tongue.

History(optional): Ghost’s known history is limited to the last five years, since he has never felt the need to disclose anything of his life before that. He first became known to the Rebels when, nearly five years ago, Aretha came across a pair of Forsaken that had cornered a human. Her immediate response, being too noble for her own damn good, was to climb atop the building overlooking the alley. Knowing the area as well as she did, she unlatched the loose awning over the Forsaken, and in the few seconds of confusion, spirited Ghost off through a nearby tunnel.

Once they arrived at the Rebellion’s “headquarters” for the night, Ghost managed to silently relay to the Rebels that he was completely human, but his eyes were suspicious, and had triggered the attack. He refused the offer to be taken back to his family, and has been with the Rebellion as Aretha’s bodyguard since.

Political Standing: Rebellion

Abilities (optional): Ghost is strong enough to fend off a human and some weaker Forsaken, but not any who have real control or age. He has no experience fighting Loup Garou, but could probably take a young one who wasn’t very powerful. He is fast, which very rarely helps him, considering he won’t leave Aretha. He is also blindly loyal to the Rebellion and Aretha.

Weaknesses (optional): He is blindly loyal, which could possibly be taken advantage of. Also, he has plenty of issues communicating with everyone but Aretha; the pair understands each other implicitly.
