Yes, I am doing three profiles in one thread. But hey, they're all sort of linked together, right?
Anyways, these three are oldies from another (very complicated) story. I wanted to modify them (and their background) a bit to better fit DP, but I couldn't think of a good way to do it. So instead, I'm opting to do profiles by the democratic process! I'm going to post their original profiles. Here's where the choice comes in. You can either: 1) Reassure me that the profiles are fine and should be left alone. 2) Suggest changes to the profiles. 3) Tell me to get off my lazy ass and make new characters because there's no way you're rping with these three.
I'm leaving out their personalities for now--I'll add them back in once you guys give me feedback. So without further ado, here they are!

Name: Sceatto Pronunciation: See-A-"toe" (I hope that helps *sheepish grin*) Age: 21 Species: Human Gender: Male Description: Brown hair, spiked a little in the front. About 5"11' and a little on the skinny side. Usually wears greens (his favorite color) and browns. Blue and brown speckled eyes. Abilities: Sceatto has a strong aptitude in magic. Knows a little bit of elemental magic (mainly light), a few "cheap tricks" (as he calls it), but his keenest point would his mastery of energy and developing psychic abilities, which he is learning from Keekoos. So far, he can fly easily, teleport, and create a strong barrier (which feels more like an impenetrable, squishy, hollow bouncy ball, which the boys use more often than not as a make-shift bed than an actual forcefield ). He is having serious problems with mind-reading...not that he can't do it, but rather that he unintentionally hears peoples' thoughts. Several problems arise from this, mistaking what he "reads" for what people are actually saying to him, reading unwanted thoughts, and being barraged with so many thoughts he becomes overwhelmed and passes out. Physically, he is swift and nimble, a natural acrobat, though a little lacking in strength. ((Here comes the controversial part I'm thinking about changing for DP...)) Background: Sceatto was aborted 17 years ago, never actually being born. Instead, he went to a sort of paradise-like limbo (ruled by the Fates) for the soul's of children who had either not survived birth or died very young. There, he and all the other souls had a transitory semi-real form, an alternative, imagined body (not quite material, but not quite ethereal either) in the image he might have had, had he lived. The only oddity in the world was Keekoos,a strange friend that wasn't a child-spirit, but somehow had access to their world and visited him on occasion. He would wait anxiously for Keekoos, who told him of the world and the family that left him behind. Later on, he met (and named) Shiku. Sceatto was the first one to encounter Shiku's soul when Shiku entered the plane. The two instantly became best of friends. They were never apart, and were always up to mischief. Now, in this limbo, "children" are only kept for a while, till they reach a sort of "maturation." From there, they are offered 2 choices: to remain in the land of the dead (and usually enter heaven/afterlife/whatever-you-call-it), or to be reborn in a new body in the mortal world and experience "life." Sceatto had the desire to return to the mortal world, relish its experiences, adventure and become a hero, and he secretly wished to meet the family who abandoned him. Of course, Shiku and Sceatto being inseparable, wanted to go together--the only fault being that once reborn, they'd be not only separated, but without their memories of one another. So instead they meet with the Fates and undergo a "year-long" (though time is poorly defined) trial to be born without birth. In essences, the trial serves as a training for the two, preparing them for the abnormal a life they were about to lead. The two pass the test and their imagined bodies are turned into real ones as they are sent to the mortal worlds. The most valuable skill they both gain from the Fates is the ability to open and navigate "black holes," the means for them to jump from world to world, dimension to dimension. At this point though, opening is still a rather slow process, making hiding in black holes not an ideal for battle (aka, I won't ever pull a stunt in which the two use a black hole to easily win a battle or the like.) Since they have been on the mortal worlds, Shiku, Sceatto, and Keekoos (who ended up accompanying them for vague reasons) have become a band of merry adventurers, traveling everywhere they can and making friends as they go.

Name: Shiku Pronunciation: "She"-ku Age: 21 Species: Human Gender: Male
Description: Handsome fellow with sharp features, dark, dark-bluish black hair, that is jaggedly cut to chin length and bright golden-yellow eyes. He has more of a build and defined body. Stands at 5"8'.
Abilities: Shiku developed no psychic abilities (despite being from the world of the dead), but instead has a good ability in the elementals, mainly fire, electricity and darkness. Even so, he prefers combat and is a master in many weapons and in hand-to-hand. While not as nimble as Sceatto, he is physically stronger and with a keen intuition on the battlefield. Other than his elementals, he usually relies on Sceatto to develop magical items, which he loves to use.
Background: Pretty much the same as Sceatto's. He wasn't aborted though; instead, both of his parents were murdered by an emerging vampire clan to make an "example."

Name: Keekoos Pronunciation: (pretty much how it looks like) Kee-koos Age: ? Old. Species: Tanekoos Appearance of above Species (Yes, I should describe it, as it is invented...): That of a kitten (in this case, whitish fur) with wings (in this case, feather color is pinkish) and a few adorning feathers on the ears, paws, and tip of the tail. Gender: Female
Abilities: Mainly shrouded and vague, the only powers the boys are aware of are her strong psychic abilities. They are unsure what to think, speculations ranging from either very powerful to very weak. It doesn't matter though, as she never partakes in any battle, usually opting to sleep on Sceatto's head instead.
History of Tanekoos: To understand Keekoos, one most first have the short history of Tanekoos and the Fates. The Fates, being obliged by the Creator/God/Etc where given permission to create a species to aid them when necessary (i.e. Like how God has angels). Before choosing any particular design, they opted to create a few small experimental societies, study them, and then choose their favorite creation. Tanekoos where an exceptional design, having versatile powers (usually each being unique to each Tanekoos), an IQ generally higher than mortals, and strong shape-shifting abilities (so much so that even if a Tanekoos took a non-Tanekoos partner, the genes of the child would shift themselves back to Tanekoos DNA, keeping the race pure and maximizing potential offspring).
As a result, Tanekoos became the chosen species. Their inauguration consisted of being awarded immortality and sterility (they couldn't afford to have an overpopulated race that couldn't die after all.) However, shortly after being selected, the race stopped liking their eternal indentured service, and opted to revolt. Clearly, they never had a real chance and lost. As punishment, the Fates separated the small society from the only thing they had: each other. Each one was banished to a different sector of the universe, cursed to live lonely, eternal, misunderstood lives. Many Tanekoos were either driven insane or lost all memories (as a means of coping) of their previous existence as a noble, powerful and well-respected race. Furthermore, there is little to no knowledge of the ancient beings.
Background: Keekoos still possesses all of her memories and knowledge since the revolt. Her motivation for joining the two boys is still very unclear. She did know them in their time in Limbo and visited them often, so it did not seem too suspicious to the naive kids when she told them she would be accompanying them on their journeys. While she has told them what she technically is (a Tanekoos), they have no idea what it really means or where she's truly from since she never explained it to them. They eventually gave up, just accepting her for their buddy/mentor/mischief-accomplice. Though they can tell she knows human-languages, she refuses to speak it herself, only communicating through what sounds like stereotypical cat meows. She taught Sceatto her language at a young age (from before he met Shiku), so he can communicate with her. Shiku, however never had the knack for it, thus never picked it up and relies on Sceatto fro translation. Usually, Keekoos takes the form of a normal cat (no wings, no feathers) so that others will not be alarmed.

Honestly, I don't know what you were worried about, Seven! Your profiles work just fine! In fact, I think they are endlessly fascinating and incredibly original. Why can't I come up with awesome-cool ideas like that? *sniffs*
...I'm just going to tell myself that it's because I never had anyone to write with until I started role-playing about this time last year. That way I won't feel so inferior. *grins* Sometimes I think the ability to delude oneself is a gift.
Anyway, I really enjoyed reading your profiles and I can't wait to encounter your characters myself!

Well, I had a lot of time to develop the three. Sceatto was my first character, so to speak, my imaginary hero from when I was 4. From there, he just sort of expanded, making and taking friends with him along the way. There's more I'd love to tell you about them, but I don't want to accidentally give out any spoilers, so it'll have to wait till later. Anyways, thank you! I'm really glad you liked it. I'm tempted to put up more random info about them in their profiles, but I guess I should save some of it for rping, no? lol!

*curses her lack of creativity as a child* No fair! I didn't start inventing characters until I was fourteen! And all of them were terrible! *is insanely jealous*
And waiting to share some of the other info until a later point sounds like a good idea. It's fun to find things out as the story progresses!

Yup, but it's hard on me. I feel so ready to jump you and Rojo, tie you up, and have you listen to their whole creation process, changes I eventually made to them, story-line, past, present, and future, oddities, family members, love interests, etc., etc., etc.

*frowns* Ha Ha. Very funny. *crosses arms* *then grins manically* Well, at least I'm doing my job: invoking terror in all whom I meet.
