Mina breathed a huge sigh of relief when the bell rang, slamming her book closed. "Thank everything that doesn't suck that that's over," She grumbled in her usual irritable fashion to herself, stuffing her book in her bag with a lot more force than was necessary. If she kept that up, her books wouldn't be much more than a scattered collection of crumpled pages by the time the year ended. She stood, slung her bag across her shoulder, and surveyed the class room with a vaguely hostile expression, as though she were just daring anyone to meet her eyes. But the students just filed around her and out of the room as though she wasn't there at all, and that violent cast to her demeanor suddenly became forlorn. She cast her gaze at the ground for a second, feeling sorry for her poor, outcast self, then pulled it up again as she began to walk out of class. Her eyes found Faryll once more, who looked about as unhappy as she felt. On a whim, she paced after him and tapped him on the shoulder once she'd caught up. "Hey, you never did get to answer me in class. So what's your story? What are you in for and for how long?" She was had picked up the prison analogy again.
Maemi blinked slowly when the bell rang, surfacing gradually from the world of fact and equation that she had emerged herself in. She put the book away and picked up her bag as everyone else did, scanning the room for her cat-boy buddies before she remembered that they had left for the nurse's office. Well, in that case, she may as well linger long enough to make another friend. This time she decided to go bug the nifty-looking dragon-angel guy ((hey, no one else has yet! *grins*)). She walks over to him and asks "Hi, you looked kind of lonely sitting by yourself in front of class!" As though she needed an excuse for approaching any male with an unusual appearance. "So how long have you been Ratiel's interpretor?" So the game of twenty-questions would begin, unless Vitri could escape it.

--Or if Vritri minded at all, him and his cheery patient self. The mohawked male blinked at The girl, having not expected anyone to randomely come up to him. But he smiled and as Ratiel got her things together he allowed himself to engage in conversation as well.
"Oh no," Vritri shook his head to the side, the scales on his face shimmering different ways at different angels. "I was just daydreaming, you know, spacing off." He answered to the first question, then he placed his hands behind his back, else he'd be tempted to sign everything, which led to the next answer. "I've been Ratiel's interpreter all throughout middle school, and now starting highschool." he grinned.

Faryll looks up at Mina, his pupils shrinking drastically. He listened carefully, as if he thought he would get something wrong, and then he looked at his feet again. "Umm...I live with my mother...my father was killed by an assassin when I was young...umm...we came to live here because back home it was so dangerous...I don't like it here...everyone ignores me or bullies me..." He started to walk again, staring at the floor, a flushing red embarressed expression spreading across his face.

((OK, here it goes Pan.
Basically, we've only been doing what's been going on in the classroom. It hasn't been much other than a little bit of character development, but it's not important since Ana wasn't there either. Anyways, the bell literally just wrung, and everyone is leaving their first class and heading towards their second. So really, you and I need to catch up with the nurses-office scene and then head off to second class as well.))

The triplets blink, Orian absent-mindedly saying, "You're pretty strange." Mikah shoves him out of the way for that comment. "So what did the nurse mean? Do you get injured a lot?"

Rune pulls out her time table and sees she has a free period next, she looks at it with a strange expression, shrugs and begins walking towards her designated class after waving goodbye to Ratiel. She does a little jump, which she stays up far to long for it to not have been magickal, and looks around embarrassed she had a surge of power she couldn't control.

"So...you're just afflicted with terrible bad luck?" Mikah asks in response to this.
((Hey guys, what do you think we should do from here? Should we break off into separate, groups (basically, some characters go to class A, the rest go to class B? Or should we keep the characters together (say out of coincidence next class they all have together as well)? Or should we skip the rest of the day (assuming everyone would be separated) till they reach their last class, "Ancestry?" We have to choose something already, since the first class already ended.
I was just thinking that it might actually be a good idea to skip ahead to the last class, since rping "being in class" and "studying" won't be that much fun anyways (especially if everyone goes separate ways. Or we could skip to a lunch break or something....basically the next period that everyone could possibly meet up again. ))

((I don't know. I do agree about skipping all classes save for the first and last, but I think meeting up for lunch would be fun. There would be more time for casual conversation, and perhaps our characters would have amusing stories or complaints about their scheduled classes to share. Plus, it would be a great time to cement friendships. It's hard to do that kind of thing in class, because students are supposed to keep casual chatter to a minimum.))
Maemi held her breath for a second, mesmerized by the beauty of Vitri's scales as they sparkled in the golden early-morning sunlight that spilled into the room. Wow, he was gorgeous. She wondered if anyone ever told him so. She wanted to tell him herself, but her recent experiences with her touchy, all-too-easily-insulted cousin caused her to hesitate and tilt her head slightly as she rapidly considered this small conundrum. Her certainly didn't seem like the type who would offend easy. but...Ah, never mind! She was telling him! The last thing she wanted to do was start second-guessing herself the way Mina did.
With her usual casual-flirtatious style, she said "Wow, those scales are really beautiful, even more so than your terribly romantic, contrasting wings and stylish 'do. You must have been a favorite of Ratiel's friends!" Just when he may have wondered during the gush of compliments if she had heard a thing he said, she referred to the time he spent signing with Ratiel over her later school years. She was hardly the hopeless flirt that less observant individuals tended to take her for.
Now she was curiously considering the arms he had placed behind his back, thinking about why he had done so. Did he really sign so often that he automatically began to do so whenever he spoke to someone? Or was this some kind of weird nervous habit? Hmm... "I was wondering, when did you ever learn to communicate with sign language? Was there someone in your family who was deaf? Or maybe a good friend who was?" So her ceaseless questioning continued, but she probably wouldn't make it to twenty. They were running out of time.
Mina studied Faryll intently when he spoke, though in her case, it was because she was fascinated. She didn't care if she ever forgot anything because, as far as she was concerned, if her mind didn't care to keep track of it then it was obviously too boring to be worth keeping track of. Duh. But this kid's father was killed by assassins? Hey, if you had to go, what a cool way to go. Talk about hard-core. She could relate with being driven here due to the danger factor, and she remembered all too vividly what it was like to be bullied, but who would bully him? He looked like a demon, for crying out loud! Who would mess with a...oh, yeah. Stupid question. She'd already learned the answer to that one.
She was engaged in this fascinating little internal dialogue when Faryll began to walk away. She stared after him a moment, surprised, then sprang after him. "Wait!" She brushed past him and planted herself directly in his path. "You are bullied? But...why? Who would have a problem with you here? This isn't a Catholic school." An odd statement, perhaps, but she had been thinking of the past when she made it.
