Name: Demon. (For all intents and purposes, anyway)
Age: About as old as the goddess of death herself.
Species: Unclassified. Demon is one of a kind.
Type: Dark
Gender: None. 'He' lacks such distinguishing features, though I have Annwn refer to him as a he as a matter of convenience, since it is a pain to describe something as an 'it' all the time.
Appearance: Demon generally assumes the appearance of a large black housecat (about the size of a lynx) with bright yellow-green eyes the exact hue as those of his mistress. However, he is not limited in the forms he can choose though his features lean toward feline no matter what cast he chooses.
This picture is pretty much what Demon would look like if he were about to try and swallow you whole. (meaning that he looks far more demented here than he generally chooses too. The expression he is wearing is his homicidal grin, so the next time I mention it this is what it looks like.)
It took me three attempts to get the sense of movement and expression right. It's supposed to look surreal, since Demon doesn't move like your average cat. His motions are far more fluid, sometimes even serpentine in nature. I can't help but imagine a scenario in which this psychotic creature were zeroing in on a troop of soldiers with impossible speed and weaving in between bullets along the way before pouncing on some poor individual and tearing his head from his spine. It's like something out of a horror novel. Of course, Demon seldom gets this angry and Annwn is usually around to stop him on those rare occasions that he does.
Description: Demon is a being who is nearly as old as Annwn herself. In fact, he was the first thing she had created back when the world we know was new and the Otherworld was empty. I said once that he is to Annwn what Lucifer is to the Christian God, meaning that he nearly matches her in terms of power and is her second in command. But, like Lucy, he too desires power, and had Annwn been as rigid in her way of thinking as God was, the feline minion would have been banished as well. However, this is not the case at all, and Annwn tends to take all rebellious demonstrations in stride. She is lax to the point that often it is difficult to decide just who is in charge of who. Yet Demon is wise and devoted to Annwn in his own impossible-to-analyze way and so they manage to rule their realm with little friction between them. For the most part, Demon's plays for power are things of the past.
