Human Form:
Hair becomes blondes (darker, even slightly reddish in the summer, lighter and paler in the winter, as goes with foxes), his facial structure is slightly less narrow and more heart-shaped in general. eyes are large and green rather than slanted gold. Stands 5 ft 9in and looks somewhat effeminate (which is due to his fox heritage) and posses great beauty (to the point that on occasion people can't tell his gender.)
History: Lief was a powerful nine-tailed fox. Born a regular fox (as most all kitsunes are) he trained himself magic and stole energy from humans to extend his life span till he became powerful enough to sustain himself. As he became stronger and older, he gained more tails. Like most old foxes, he didn't have great physical prowess (apart from great agility and ease of movement), but made up for it with magic and wisdom. A seeker of knowledge, he used many means to achieve his goals. Even so, he generally avoided humans and their world ever since industrial eras began. Also like most foxes, while he doesn't consider himself a thief, he does play "finders-keepers' with his less than cunning adversaries or dim witted strangers. Ironically, this was the beginning of his downfall. About 105 years ago, Lief stole precious magical artifact from a clan of wolves. The enraged wolves hired a female canine (dog spirit/demon) bounty hunter to track him down. As we all know, in the natural order of things, foxes and dogs/wolves are generally enemies. She eventually found him and a battle ensued in a heavy fog. It was rather close, Lief having a magical advantage and the Dog having a physical advantage. In the end though, when both parties grew weary, she attempted to use his own magic against him. She cast a large spell to seal his magic within him and leave him defenseless. It didn't quite work out as intended. Lief, in an attempt to save himself, took a human form and escaped in the fog. The spell still hit him, therefore his magic was more or less sealed in a human form, making it practically impossible to change back. He did because he knew in a human form without any trace of magic (due to the spell) the bounty hunter would never be able to find him again (which he was correct about; it is believe she gave up after aobut 25 years of searching). Also, being in a human form made the spell sightly less effective; he is still able to use about a quarter of his original strength and occasionally turn back into his true form for a period of time (usually night time beneath a waxing crescent moon). He has been searching for the counter spell to take his natural form again for the past century, and has been so far unsuccessful. To maintain his human life and youth, he has been using the reservoirs of his sealed power and as a result has lost 2 of his tails. He urgently wishes to find his 'cure' as he is growing weaker and weaker and will eventually run out of power. Over the past century, he has assimilated into human culture and has adapted the human alias 'Crevan Todd,' both first and last names meaning fox. though as a fox, he has great pride for his physical beauty, he realized that trying to hide his true nature is far easier when you are low key. therefore, amongst strangers he adapts a false persona of being meek and studious, which he pushes with unflattering (ok, rather dorky) clothes and fake glasses.
Abilities: As a fox, he had a great plethora of powers which included shape-shifting, illusions, posession & manipulation, control of elements, and so on. After the sealing of his power, Crevan is only capable of slight-of-hand, illusions, slight manipulation (almost like a very mild hypnosis/suggestion), a few fire and nature spells, and enhanced speed and senses( smell, sight (includes night-vision), hearing.) As normal with all kitsune, seduction (and the theft of energy during intercourse if desired.)
Key weakness: As stated earlier, he lacks brute strength. Anyone with high sensitivity would be able to see through most illusions he creates. Though he can manipulate fire, fire itself can still do great damage to him (this is not for elemental reasons, but rather just because as a fox/human, he is a mammal.)
