The self-confidence boosting board! Post any of your really old pictures along with a date (or an estimate of how old) so we can all grin and laugh about how much better we've become over the years.

That picture was good! I suck at drawing figures, you're much better. Well, *takes a deep breath* here's my absolutely terrible picture from '03. *laughs* Oh, I can't believe I'm doing this. i32.tinypic.com/2zgw9qb.jpg*experimentally pulled up picture and is now dying of laughter*

Aww, but that's not bad at all Asila. I rather like it. Ok, maybe the background needs a little work, but it's actually nice.
Oh come on Pan, I know you have older than that.

What?! I thought it was terrible! In fact, my style was almost identical to that in seventh and eighth grade as well. There had been little improvement...
But we're still waiting for your picture, Seven. *taps foot impatiently*

Well, since it seems that Seven isn't going to post one of her adorable dated drawings right away, I'm going to post another one of mine. This is the first drawing I ever did of Fang, and while it's not very good, it is very cute. (his tail does trail off the paper. It wasn't cut off by the scanner.) i25.tinypic.com/28lf0n9.jpg

It doesn't really look bad...it looks.... chibi....and cartoonish.... Ah yes, I was pretty sure I couldn't post anything until I returned home (to where all my REALLY old stuff is), but then I remembered the wonderful thing called Deviant Art! My account is full of wonderful self-esteem boosting (for everyone else, that is) crap. It's not really all to representative of my skill level (I feel), since the only things I posted were my first pictures/experiments with photoshop, a few sketches (when I meant to post a lot of things), and...that's about it. So here's one of the awful ones of my account. kiataseven.deviantart.com/art/Mask-of-Smiles-14602656I guess just by posting that one, you can go through my other stuff as well.

*shrugs* It's tolerable...
but your picture is great, Seven! And you were talking about how my pictures probably wouldn't belong here. Well, yours certainly don't! I like the Red Death picture...(surprise, surprise. ;D )

Aha! So you did rumage! ...Maybe I shouldn't have suggested it in my post. While I'm flattered about your compliments, I don't really like any of my pictures up there. The shading is all wrong and the lineart is terrible.
...Though the Red Death is probably the best out of them.
Still, I'm going to have to find post my REALLY old pictures (yah sailor moon?) and some of my current ones (though they're all sketches...)

*Shakes head* There were a lot of good ones. I really liked the picture of Sceotto as well. It's really cute! *grins*
I'm jealous. I'm good with creatures, but I'm terrible with people and it drives me crazy because I really want to start drawing them. There are so many images in my head that never end up on paper because of that weakness. *sighs*

Thank you, I appreciate it.
Perhaps we could do a trade. You could draw dragons for me, and I can do people for you. (I've always wanted to do art-trades!) Like, you could send me PMs with info on how you'd want your character/picture to be done.

*grins* Hey, if you ever want a dragon to be drawn, I'm your girl!
I think that's a great idea...in fact, I think that I'm going to ask you if you'll draw Malevolos for me...but I have to pick a specific mental image. Most of them seem to blend together...
Unless you would like free reign. I think you've seen enough of him to know his personality and even what he wears fairly well.
*frowns* Though I kind of hate asking. I feel like I'm imposing. *rolls eyes at self*
Please tell me that you have a dragon in mind for me to draw! I'll feel less guilty...

Actually, I was sort of intending to draw Malevolos anyways. If only in a comical picture... (I had a silly idea in mind, and I have every intention of drawing it!) But yeah, I would also love to do a serious character shot of him. I think the only question I really have is...
Malevolos's hair...how accurate is it to the little chibi avatar you made? Is it any different, or should I just use that as reference?
What I might end up doing is making a a few very rough sketches, sending them to you, and asking what I should change/fix.

Aw, a comical picture? I want to see! It would be hilarious! Serious characters like him are the most fun to tease! *grins*
And I am over-excited. *shakes head but persistent smile remains*
Hmm, I think I will send you a pm with a few of the details...I have a few ideas.

Yes, I have an idea. It involves Serena as well. But it shall be amusing (I hope).
And yes, I saw your PM. I have to warn you though, I haven't really drawn anything in a couple months.....I'd been in a slump of 'uninspired.' Thank you for fixing it, I just hope I haven't gotten to rusty...
And now, I go make a new board for this.
