Well, here you go, poems and crap. From Yorl. But they suck. I only like the first one.
Poems Of Yorl
The Darkling
Moving unseen Watching from afar Never noticed In the shadows of the bar But he is there Just…not noticed He looks familiar But you’ve never seen him before Who could he be? Too late to look He’s left through the door Into the cold After you leap Sure you recognise him But the darkness is deep And now he’s…gone
Waking From Death
Chained to a wall Blindness Eyes open wide, but… Blindness Darkness Eyes open wide Blindness Convulsing, twisting Blindness Numbness, unable to move Unable to see Unable to know Blindness Then, burning pain Falling… Eyes open… Waking from death, Able to see
Coldfest
Merry bells Happy laughter In the palace hall For ‘tis the season for Coldfest Come, one and all
Roast pig and Coldfest pud Lay upon the table Old timers smile and say, “It’s time for a winter fable”
The kind and good The cruel and evil Amass for the season But do not worry, my fickle friends For it is in good reason!
The people stand And clasp a hand In the dining hall They dance away into the night While snow begins to fall
The party smiles And circles Around the Coldfest tree And bow their heads As they sing a solemn melody
The celebration’s over The children start to yawn The grown-ups smile And agree too For now it’s early morn
Coldfest is a magic time When Winter has a ball He dances upon the snow-capped mountains And doesn’t dare to fall…

Wow, great job Rojo. I'm guessing that the first two have to do with Rojo (the first being about him sort of spotting Shadow). All three of them were great.

Well, the first was just in general, but the second was about Rojo. The third is about the winter festival of Coldfest.

Oh yes, that's right. everyone has a darkling. I'm just thinking of Rojo because he's the character you play most. I really liked the winter festival one a lot though.

I don't know...I just like...the imagery. It seems a little dream like.

Yes, I know. So, are you going to post more yorl poetry? Or just poetry in general?

Well, I did write some Elder Scrolls parodies of Disney songs...but I doubt there'd be any point, as you wouldn't get them.

I like the first one because it seems dark and mysterious...
*smiles* My morbid little mind just loves such things.
And I like the way the darkling just disappears as the narrator moves to look for him. I can just imagine seeing a dark yet familiar stranger and staring in slight confusion for a while...then trying to lunge for the door before she, as it would be in my case, disappears from sight. But, of course, it's too late. It's interesting...

*Grins* I do best doing dark things. That's why I've thought up about 12 different theories philosophers, religious people and the average joe have thought up about how Darklings came to be.
