He says candidly, "That was a silly thing to do. If you wanted to so desperately end your life, you could have done something else that your friends couldn't have healed," he looks down at her wrists again. "The body is a gift, the encasing of the spirit. It is only a loaned material that the Earth will someday reclaim. It would be wise to care for it more in the future," he says, looking up at her.
He pauses for a moment. It seems silent, but he glances away. "Forgive me Renae, but I must leave now. Perhaps our paths will cross again," he nods. It seems like he might be interested in the person she might be, though his face is always unchanging. But he leaps up, unto the top of a tall and wide rock, "Farewell," he calls out one last time, before jumping to the other side.
The sound of running approaches closer and closer, perhaps distracting Renae for one brief moment. A horde of people come dashing, lead by a fierce looking young woman. "CRIEL SCUM--GET BACK HERE!" she yells, not noticing Renae immediately.
"It's no good Galia--I can no longer sense him, he's long gone," a smaller man says.
"Shoot," she curses something else beneath her breath. But then looks up at Renae, giving her an odd look, "Who are you?"

Renae watched him disappear ad sighed quietly. Yes, perhaps sooner than we think Illes. She thought as she started at the voice of the woman. She locked her eyes on the woman's and spoke. "Why's it matter to you?" She asked calmly as the moonlight bathed her glossy black wings while she looked at the woman waiting.

((And now, for a twist!!!))
The guards look upon Renae's wings with slight shock; they begin to murmur amongst themselves. Gaila face flushed a little with embarassement, as if she just realized something. "Oh, forgive me sister! You must have come a long ways from the West! Alas, we weren't expecting you..." she says, looking over curiously at the wings. Someone voice calls out from the midst of the throng of guards, "Do you're wings work?" Gaila turns to the crowd with a harsh tone, "Jeremia--I know that that's you! What a rude thing to say!" She turns back to Renae, apologetically again, "Sorry about that. I am Galia Fadale," she bowed on one knee, apparently some sort of customer greeting for the region.
"I didn't mean to speak to you harshly earlier, but we were caught up in the hunt for that Criel scum..." her eyes drift to the rock where he had leapt up to and vanished from, "honestly, if he meant to turn traitor, why constantly return here?" she said, pursing her lips at the end.
She finally stands up, towering quite a bit above the rest of the guards, perhaps even Renae, "So sister, may I ask for your name? Or are you still too upset at me?" she teased playfully.
This may all be quite confusing for Renae, but these members of the Laronque Osten clan had just mistaken her for someone else....

OOC-I love Twists, just don't kill her. Lol bic- Renae was quite confused at this, but obliged them with the answers. "You may ask and I shall oblige. I am Renae. Why do you call me sister? If I may ask, and that Criel, is my friend." Renae finished then held her tounge waiting for them to speak once more. "And in answer to the previous question, indeed my wings do work. Why dost thou ask?" Then she stopped and waited once more for someone to speak.

((course not. Killing is never any fun.))
The guards stare at her in confusion. One of them from the back murmurs, "What sort of devilry is this?"
"Quiet Faed!" Gaila shouts back again. She turns to Renae, "Why, I call you 'sister' because you are from our sister clan, in the mountains..." she points to her wings, "otherwise you wouldn't have those wings. And wings that allow you to fly--they are a blessing from the Goddess herself! Only the lucky few are born with those that still enable flight, it is a good omen," she said, a little confused as to why Renae didn't know this. "And what do you MEAN that piece of dirty was your friend! Why, he might've...." she says, implying something bad might've happened.
Renae might get it now, these people thought she was an Osten as well.
One guard stepped foward, "Of course! Galia, she must have landed here, only to run into that filth first! He must have used some strange magic to hypnotize her!" the rest nod in agreement, as this seemed logical to them.

Things became clearer to her now. Well, I'll just play along. She thought as she smiled serenely toward the woman. "Ah yes. It is nice to meet you again sister. And what I mean by him being my friend is just that, my friend. And no," she spoke quickly to stiffle any arguements about him using a spell on her, "he did not cast a spell on me, for if he had, you would not have found him alive when you got here." Renae said and smiled once more turning to the skies. "My wings are a blessing indeed." She said as she shuffled them a little watching thedark night turn to a bright morning.

The others looked confused, "But why would you be friends with a Criel, Renae? They are a traitorous lot--they chose to part with our sacred lands and rites, and for what!?" The mentality here seemed to be, 'You're either one of us, or you are nothing at all.' Yes, Renae has discovered that her new friend was an Osten, but for some reason, chose to leave.
"I mean, how long did you know this fellow?" Galia says. She was becoming a little skeptical now of her "sister's" intentions now that she was claiming to be friend's with a Criel.

"I've known him long enough." That was that and she spoke no more, but she realized that maybe she had been found out, well if she had been, she could alway just fly to a different region. She watched as a pair of Kites glided over their little gathering, or, she could build an almost impenetrable barrier out of the Earth at her feet. She had options if they decided to turn hostile toward her. She watched them serenely, how could they not appreciate what the Criel could do? She thought on that a while, her thoughts elsewhere but her spirit listening and watching those around her.

The guards looked to one another, nodding slowly. Gaila turned to her again, with a smiling face, "Of course Renae, so sorry to be nosy. But you must be very weary, so let's return to the village...."
((sorry for the immense shortness))

((No problem)) bic- Renae smiled toward Gaila. "No need to apoligize. I am rather weary," of you she thought but spoke this instead "of him but, I think I can break through his barriers. You all may return to the village, but I shall linger here a bit longer, I have much to think about, in fact I was doing that before you so strangely interrupted me." Renae said serenely with a smile."I shall return in the morning, possibly, unless I have more to worry about." Then she turned back to them all with a smile.

"Oh no," Galia took her hand, a sort of polite insistance, "We have a lovely room all prepared for you and everything!" She didn't quite understand what Renae meant by 'his barriers,' but assumed it had something to do with that Criel boy. "Besides, a whole night has already passed--you must be both exhausted and famished! You don't need to be out here only to hunt and to sleep--you might as well come back with us..."

Renae took her hand back politely. "I thank thee, but I will do better off out here." She told them with a calm smile. "Maybe next time." She told them with a smile once more. "I promise, if anything happens to me I will send one of them," she points to a pair of birds who watch their friend intently, "to tell you of my problem." Renae told them and called the birds down to her forearm.

Galia frowns a little, "But Sister--if you have traveled all this way to visit our clan, then why are you being so reluctant to come now? Did you not fly here from the mountains to see us or deliver some message upon us?" She still said in a friendly tone, though she pointed out the flaw in Renae's story. Skepticism was growing amongst the guards.

"What message do I bring other than that we wish you all well? I hesitate only because I do not take well to beds and food offerings." Renae told Galia as she turned to stroke her bird friends' backs smoothing their unruly feathers. "I prefer the open to being enclosed in a single place to sleep." She told her as once more she turned her pale-grey gaze upon Galia and the soldiers with her. "That is why I refuse so sister." enae said and fell silent as she let the birds retreat to the tree once more.

She gives her a funny look, "It seems an awfully long distance to travel just to express your wishes of well-being. But if you so choose it, then so be it. Come on boys, time to head home," she says, turning, giving a little non-chalant wave. Some the guards looked back at her, still with question, but Galia didn't; what was done was done. And perhaps, it was better that this stranger didn't enter their home immediately. It would be best to speak with the Elder before that. She calls back on last time, "We'll come and pick you up in a day then, Renae!"
