"Reji!" called Paka. For a moment there was nothing, then something furry and quadrapedial flew out of the tree. It ran around Aka three times, screeched, then rested on Paka's shoulder.
Reji turned out to be a monkey. A monkey wearing a shirt and jacket.
"Reji, go fetch us some snacks!" said Paka, not unkindly, but commandingly. The little monkey did a comical salute and jumped from Paka's shoulder, used Aka's head as a springboard, and rocketed off out of the clearing they were in.

Crevan Todd, a kitsune trapped in human form, randomly falls in from the ceiling. "Ow! What the hell is goin--" he stops when he sees the dead babies. "Ok, I don't know what sick and twisted universe I fell into this time, but I REALLY want an explanation for the dead babies!"

"Traitor" he whispered, then looked at the new arrival
"Hi there! I'm Paka! What's your name?"

He blinks at the strange pair, "Well, I'm Crevan..." he smiled a little.

"We're going on an ADVENTURE!" exclaimed Paka, spreading his arms wide
"I'm learning how to be evi-" but he stopped, as this newcomer seemed less..."unpleasnt" than himself and Aka. He made up something
"To be an adventurer" he invented "and I need to retrieve the..." he paused "cloak of adventuring"
He looked at Aka
"And so is Aka, she's my..." Dogsbody? No. Sidekick? No. Partner? God no, that sounded gay. "Friend?" he decided on. He hoped this Aka girl wasn't stupid, but hoped this new boy was.

"Duh, becuase they'll be, well, I beileve the term is 'fat loot' in it for you" he put down a reasonable point. If only this was a normal thread, he would smite this fool for his incompetence...

"Oh? And from who will you be stealing this 'fat loot?'" Crevan pointed out. It wasn't that he cared at all that he was dealing with 'unpleasant' characters, why he was completely morally apathetic (for human standards, at least), he just hoped to get a rise out of one of them.

Paka gave an appauled look
"We're not stealing!" he burst out "we're not sneaky evil..." he added, muttering "in fact, we're going to get the robe from a head necromancer, and I thought you could pick up loot along the way, then go our seperate ways, discluding Aka, who as was the first person the meet me has to be my constant travelling partner." He nearly gave Aka an evil smile.
