Vinnie backs off a bit, but with this look of, 'Oh, so you're nuts.' She turns away with her arms folded behind her head. As she does this the door opens again and the 2nd maid approaches vinnie, "It your turn now," she bows her head a little. vinnie turns around and winks, "well guess, wish me luck. See ya on the other side" and walks inside as the massive steel doors shut again.

Aka raises two fingers. "Luck."
"Good luck!"
As soon as the door closes, the two commence a stare down that doesn't cease until the next one is called in.

30 minutes later, Zin is called in. However, I'm not letting you into her perspective since I'm leaving it a surprise till aka. We shall just assume she past, taking the 3rd maid with her. another 50 minutes pass when the 4th maid comes, "It is time," she says eerily.

She raises from her seat on the floor and closes the big, leather bound book that she's been reading. "Lovely." She enters the room, mostly unperturbed.

The maid leads her inside. They walk down a very dark corridor--as in pitch black no light penetrates at all, dark.

Not that the maid could tell, Aka closes her eyes, allowing her other senses to take precidence.

The maid abruptly stops and turns around. There is another door behind her. "We are here," the doors open and an incredible, beyond blinding light floods in. It would be very hard to adjust, but the maid seems to have no problem at all, and steps in as nothing.

Aka winces at the sudden interusion of light, but her eyes remain closed, and there is no other reaction as she steps in. "Now what?"

Something seriously feels wrong. The room, which is a dome, has no other visible doors. A dead end. The maid turns around ever so slowly, "The master says you have a challenge rating of 5 out of 5. Let's test that," And with that the maid leaps into the air with the agility of a deer. She is on Aka in moments.

Without opening her eyes, Aka pulls open one side of her jacket and swipes her hand across the few inches of air between them, creating a pitch black barrier which shoves her away.
"It's not nice to attack when your opponent isn't paying attention." She pushes away, sending the barrier and the maid slamming into the dome.

The maid gets up as if nothing. The strange thing is, you don't sense any magic around her. nothing. zip. not even as she proceeds to throw fire balls at you.

She ducks the first few, and yells, "Darad! Take her to the Dark Realm, please!" She holds out one side of her jacket again, creating a black shadow better the fabric.
"With pleasure, mistress," replies a deep, male voice, as a large cat leaps from the void created and grows in the air to pounce on the maid, pinning her to the ground.

"Summoning," her eyes stare with eerie blankness into the cats, "though I personally feel this is cheating, adequate data has been collected. Please tell your pet to remove itself. The test is over and I shall no longer attack."

SHe nods. "Darad, return." The cat reluctantly steps away, snarling at the maid, and shrinks with each step until it is the size of a small house cat. Then it jumps and perches on Aka's shoulder.
Aka watches cautiously, still ready to protect herself in case of another attack.

The maid, still very non-chaleunt, stands up and bows her head, "congratulations. you have passed your test. you may now join your comrades." Suddenly the floor starts to shake, then move. A circular part of the ground breaks off and starts to go under, a secret elevator of sorts. it goes down, further and further into the earth, the light fading away. When they reach the bottom, the other three would be waiting there for her.
Tallak, who had looks of anxiety the entire time, smiles brightly when Aka makes it down, "oh thank goodness, you can't imagine how glad i am that you--"
"oh put a cork in it red," vinnie says boredly, flumped sideways on the entirety of a loveseat playing with a ball and paddle. "congrats hun. it seems i was right about you after all, huh Miss best selling novelist."
