Nef still is crying, "Horus why?......I don't want to be taken away......I hate mom for this!"
Pan looks sad as Shiku walks away. She then terns back to the mer. "Hey you guys i tink this would be a good time for you all to head back to your home...." The twins nod and so Does Kealya, "Yes i think we should head back."

Water snaps out of the trance, caused by the argument "wait---will we ever see you guys again?" he says with worry.
"I don't know sis...." he's also crying," but i won't let any sea monster take you away!"

Kirego smiles up at him. "We'll come back to see you guys again promes." Sirego nodes, "Yes we'll be back..when the air isn't so tence..Godd bye for now." Sirego waves and dive back down Kirego and Kealya both wave at them too and join Sirego.
Nef hugs Horus back. "He might take us both Horus we are twins...."

serena and salzar jump in after them. salzar takes one last look back on his former crush, shaking his head sadly and vanishing from sight.
"well--he can't get us if we aren't by the ocean! sure...that means we can no longer be pirates....but, hell--I always wanted to be a blacksmith! we can open a shop nef--it won't matter. think of how happy we'll be then!"

As they swin down Kirego brakes the silance. "Why did she do that i mean could there have been another way?"
Pan wlks back over to Sceatto looking sad. "You think this is the end for Isis and Shiku?"
Nef nodes looks at Horus. "Yeah your right so long as we stay away from the sea he can't get us. We're old enough to go out on our owns we can leave at the next port."

Nef laughs a littel. "I kinda do like to piret but I can find something elce I will love to do."
Pan sighs and head back up to her post the crows nest.
Kirego looks around at the other s and stays silent as they reterns to there home.

home is a disaster when they get back to it.
perhaps it was pure luck they left at that moment. mers lay dead everywhere. Shadows have overtaken the city---the electricity is gone.
"The king!!!' salzar swims frantically. but it's too late, shock has died. serena bursts into sobbing. 'why!?'

Kirego looks at Sirego, "Mom and Dad?!" Kirego swims off. "Kirego wait!" Sirego flowels her. Kealya stares at the death. "What are we going to do now where can we go?" The twins get to there house to find that no one is home kirego looks at her sister. "Do you think they got away?" Sirego nodes, "Yeah I hope so...come on sis lets get back to the others." The twins swim back to the other with some trobel. Kealys looks at Salzar. "Where are we going to go now?"

slazar holds out a note. the daemon prince was here, and looking for the princess. he shook his head--the trip had saved her, but the kingdom was in shambles. the light was gone, they were covered in darkness.

Kealya looks at the note. "Come on we have to go befor he comes back looking for Serena-" Kirego shreeks a bit. "OH no if he was here then he might for after Horus and Nef!! We have to go back and tell them!" Sirego nodes. "Yes we must hury!"

serena is a wreck. she is in no state to travel. she lays sobbing on her uncle's empty and darkened throne. "Uncle....."
Salzar puts a comforting hand on her shoulder. she whacks it away.
"princess serena...." he tries again. This time the reaction is the opposite, she clings onto her mentor as if he were the only light left in the dark palace. He looks shocked, but gently pats her back, "don't worry--we'll protect you princess. but we must leave now."
she sniffles, nodding. holding onto his arm, she swims off with them.

Kealya looks back. "we must be fast who know how far away he is from here or from Nef and Horus." Kirego and Sirego are now worried about their cusens.
Back up top Isis goes to find Shiku after a while. She slowly walks up to him and says in a vary timed voice. "Shiku....." She is twisting her hands arounf her skert not knowing what typ of responce she is going to get.

shiku is leaning against the rail, staring out into the sea, "Yes isis?" he says blandly without looking at her.

Isis is till quiet as she walks over and sandes next to him. "Do you not want to see me right now?" She looks at him her heart felling like it is going to brake.
