"Oh, you haven't heard of them? Well, they're dead people who are brought back to life by dark magic. But it's not really ressurection...more like nailed onto the border of life and death. It's really painful" he said, then quickly added "I expect."

"Yes, that sounds terrible. But wouldn't these people be decomposing?"

"Some do, if the magic used to bring them back was done sloppily. But if done properly, the undead will be sturdy and free of decomposition. But of course, the stronger the magic, the more free will the undead will have. Some even break free of their shackles and become free people. They usually try and hide it, of course. Finding out your son, brother, sister, daughter, lover, best friend or someone you hold dear is actually dead, is rather unnerving."

"Yes, I imagine," Devon nods. "Though this whole concept...confuses me a little. Didn't you before speak of people being resureccted by magic and living? So how is that different than being undead and breaking free?"

"Well, you no longer have to breathe or use normal bodily function if you're undead, and you cannot die of natural causes. So, if you think about it, being undead is much better than being alive." He thought he'd show off without Devon knowing it "I hear rumours of a renegade band of undead who fight necromancers, people say they're lead by some great hero." He, of course, menat himself.

"Really?" Unfortunately, Rojo's comment seems to have not impressed, as Devon only looked a little perplexed, "But shouldn't the necromancers be able to take back the magic that is keeping the undead warriors alive? And even if they don't have their unlife taken from them, wouldn't they just die if they were to kill the necromancer who gave them life? And wouldn't the undead be weaker against certain elemental magics?" Devon baraged him with questions.

"Well, first off, only the necromancer what raised you could take away your power. Secondly, after about being free for 8 months, you begin to sustain yourself, so if you kill your master, you keep going." He explained, using hand gestures again.

Devon nodded each time Rojo explained something, mentally taking notes. He then stopped, "Hey Rojo, you said that the undead try to hide themselves, right? So how do you know all this? How did you know that there's a rebel group of undead people fighting necromancers and being led by a hero?"

Rojo took the situation carefully, rather than rushing it "Rumours, mostly, and apparent sightings. And I know the stuff from books I've read. Yes, even adventurers have to read" he grinned "What, did you think I was undead or something?" he gave a convincing laugh.

Devon blinked then laughed as well, "I suppose I was getting suspicious for no reason then. Forgive me Rojo, I guess my mind just works strangely sometimes."

"Yes..." agreed Rojo, his grin fading into a smile, and his smile fading into nothing. He would have to tell Devon eventually. The noble would find out soon anyway, there were the little clues he might pick up...

"Still..." he shakes his head, "I guess I just keep wondering how it would work out...being undead and all. It seems strange..." he looks over at Rojo, "Do you suppose that an undead person, supposing they broke free, is any different than a living one?"

He inhaled for his favourite: Dramatic Emphasis. "In my opinion: No. Physical differences may be where they can be different. Paler complexion, y'know," he waved his hand infront of his face "but I think everyone's the same, really. Everyone deserves a second chance."

"That's true..." Devon muses, "Though it seems odd that one could have a second chance at life altogether. But the undead would no longer age, wouldn't they?"

"Nope" he confirmed, leaning back and enjoying the sun "'nother perk of being undead, I s'pose"
