"What?" he blinks at Rojo, but then shakes his head, figuring it's just him being too sleepy to get it quite yet. "Forgive me, I'm not used to this...yet."

Rojo shrugs "Happens to almost all of us, startin' out, 'cept the sticklers and pillocks of course."

He smiles. "Thaaaaaaaanks--" his thank you gets smothered by a yawn, which Devon brings up a hand to quickly cover. This time Devon smiles apologetically.

If he had had the bodily chemical reactions possible to do it, Rojo would've belched loudly to show Devon he didn't mind, but instead he just grinned.

Evening wanders into Rojo and Devon's small camp, wincing slightly as the daylight leeched half of her strength from her. She hated dawn.
She should probably find a place to rest for a while...but it was then that she noticed the two young men. She halted. "Oh, it's you again," She said this as if meeting them was an unfortunate turn of events, but her smile gave her away.

Devon blinked again, rubbing his eyes. "Evening?" he asked. "You mean you found your way here as well?" He began to grin, waving her to come over. "Yes, now you'll just have to put up with us!"

Rojo turns around at the sound of Evening's voice "What the fuc-" he stops himself, looking utterly bewildered at how the Tallamous suddenly got here. Then again, he and Devon had simply appeared. He frowned, then grinned in a prehaps now all-too-familiar way.

"I suppose,' She replied to Devon, managing to look disdainful of their company. As a joke, she had adopted the whole "I am above humans" attitude, even though she had already gotten over that.
She looks at Rojo when she hears his exclamation, returning his grin with a smile of her own. "Glad to see you, too." She says dryly, teasing him for the curse that he had very nearly finished.
She runs a hand through her short hair in a puzzled fashion, squinting in the sunlight as she gazes around at their surroundings. "Does anyone know where we are?" She said this with a frown. Normally she knew exactly where she was. How had she managed to lose track of her surroundings?

Devon nods quickly. He's about to sputter it all out, when suddenly different idea comes to mind. He has to hide a smirk. He adopts an air of complete indifference. "On another planet," he says matter-of-factly, as if this sort of thing happens all the time.

Rojo smirks teasingly "My planet, to be specific; so now the tables have turned. My terf, I have the upper hand." He turns towards the west, where men on horses are approaching at high speeds.

Evening gaped at Devon. "What? Another world? That isn't even possible!" Suddenly, she narrowed her eyes at them, suspicious. "That's not funny," She began, about to snarl at them for trying to trick her yet again, but paused when Rojo spoke.
"Your turf?" She said slowly, looking at Rojo as though she doubted the stability of his mind. "We are outdoors." She didn't add anything to this, convinced that it explained it all. She lived outside, they were outside, as far as she knew she had the upper-hand. But when she followed Rojo's gaze and saw the exotic shapes of the horses in the distance, she abruptly dropped the argument.
She was so startled that she shifted into a large bear, and growled at the approaching figures. She felt more confident when she looked scary.

"Whoa Evening!" Devon rushed over to her side, trying to calm her down. "Yes, we are in another world. Rojo's world. Chances are that those figures are just ordinary travelers, like ourselves!" he said, disregarding the fact that just moments earlier he was the one being jumpy about just crossing other people on the path. Though yes, horses, a very rare species on Venera, seemed to be common on Yorl.

((Horses are rare on Venera? Wow, you learn something everyday...))
Rojo jumps back at Evening's sudden transformation. Devon hadn't mentioned this! Or had he? Rojo could be a little rude and not listen at times...
When he finished staring at Evening's new form, he looked to the horizon. "I don't think those are merchants..." he says. He paused. "Oh dear. News moves bloody fast."

((Yep. I made the mistake of assuming that big cats were not often used to pull carriages when I first joined Small Glade and got corrected, remember?))
Evening tilted her head at Devon, incredulous. Only travelers? No one traveled at such speeds unless they were in a hurry, which begged the question of why they were rushing in the first place. Maybe it was just a coincidence. Maybe they were just late for an appointment of some sort. Still, she doubted it, and after having been ambushed once in her life (the results of which had been tragic) she had earned the right to paranoia.
She tenses at Rojo's words. If he really was the expert here, then it would have been his assurance that would have calmed her. Instead, his cryptic phrase only made her that much more anxious. The low snarls that had paused when Devon had spoken to her picked up again, a continuous rolling rumble that only picked up volume as the mysterious men rode closer. It would be interesting to see what they would think of a bear-wolf hybrid. Stepping out of her world and into Devon's didn't change the fact that her wolf features carried over into other forms.

((Don't you mean Rojo's world, Asila? *shifty eyes, then sighs* I feel bad when I have to correct people, like I'm a being nit-picky or something.))
Yes, Devon had mentioned this, though he thought Rojo's surprise just came from seeing his first Tallamous transformation.
In any case, Devon also starts to become anxious when Rojo disagrees with him. After all, they certainly were coming at them at high speeds. He shifts, just a little, in case he needs to make an attack himself.
