Really? I usually like both (plot/no plot), but I thought Avatar is great. Plus, it is also an encouragement to us young non-japanese authors/writers that anime could potentially become a form used in America.

Well, smile becuase apparently it's cool in America, but growl becuase of all the people who kill the world. Oh, and becuase of the jackass who wrote the book about how Britain ruined the world.

oh, that book? I remember reading a couple that brought up that topic. What was that quote? something like the English went around taking all of these places over, changing them to their desire, but never being satisfied because the place wasn't England.
It is sort of true that England did some bad stuff to other cultures, but it wasn't just them, others have lent their hands. Furthermore, it wasn't really England to say, more like a few corrupted people in England.
