sleeping in where? that really doesn't even make sense. and even IF you were immune to magic itself, the magic manifests itself into a physical form when you use, let's say, a fireball or some other elemental attack. So does that mean that his ridiculous 'immunity' would protect him from a fireball, but NOT a forest fire? dumb jerk...
augh...yes, I know. I don't really know what's the big deal about having traumatic childhoods. Can't we all be a little more creative here? Especially since people aren't considering what another species might considering traumatic--they're all doing it from a very human standpoint. Let's say you had some sort of character from another species. Perhaps what is trauma-inducing, moral, or amoral is different that humans for christ's sake!

Well, Rojo's undead, so at first he was very emo about it. Then it sorta grew on him and he realised the good sides of it, such as not having to breathe, so he can stay underwater for infinte time, yet is still fatigued. And I see what you mean. For a human, having your village destroyed would be very truamatic. But from, say, a kobold's point of view, it happens occasionaly.

Long story short: Niece gets kidnapped by a necromancer, our brave hero foolishly assualts the necropolis, but falls and becomes one of the ranks, then a lengthly escape with a dark elf.

Sadly, no. But Rojo vowed to kill any necromancer he met. Well, the necromancer sorta uses her for a "item of pleasure." Urgh *shudders*

so, do your characters have any comical anomalies? even things that are a little OOC?
I tend to always put something in my characters--sometimes they're a little cartoonish in a way. unfortunately, in serious rp, i don't really get to show it too much since they the anomalies are just meant to be light, humours, and they break the 4th wall a little.

Hee hee, nice.
When I was playing Devon for my first time on the other board, I began one post with him being extra charming. I described the random shojou-bubbles floating in...and then I posted how he suddenly went very dark and evil looking and pulled a giant needle from nowhere and murderously tried to stab all the bubbles to death--in which the bubbles shrieked and zoomed away. It was kind of funny how it happened (though this isn't a good description)....*is once again disheartened from the deletion of the posts*
Well, you might notice I still referenced them ever so often, but know they can only really be used metaphorically. The only funny oddity that remains is that Devon is his semi-extreme mysophobia. maybe i'll get to use it eventually....

Yes...and I did once make him have a dream that a giant person with glasses was strangling him on a puppet string, then he woke up with this note near his bed saying
"Was It Real Or Not?"
