Just as the name implies, a one shot roleplay indicates that everything that occurs or pertains to a story is roleplayed in only one thread.This is different, for instance, to a rp like 'The World of Veneria,' where characters begin in different locations and travel from thread to thread when describing their shift in location or continuation of plot.
To start a one-shot rp, you can either:
1) include information about the kind of rp you are doing and then say it is open to whoever wants to rp with you.
2) you can PM members, asking to start a roleplay.
If for whatever reason the rp starts to really flourish, you can always send me a PM with rp information and I will give the rp its own board/category.
