Her sudden assertiveness on the subject takes him by surprise. He takes another step closer to her, "Are you sure? You don't need to bother yourself anymore with me, if you don't want to. I'm not your obligation..."

Her eyes flash as she turns to face him. "Tall, we are going to do this. I spent more than half of my childhood without my powers, I can suck it up for a few days. Don't try to back out on me."

They'd both hear loud clucnky footsteps come down the stairs. Tall turns around, watching the door. Vinnie pops her head in, but then bites her lip when she sees them together. "Oh sorry--am I interupting?" she asks. Honestly, Vin's still tempted to call them lovebirds like she used to, but she knows how highly inappropriate that'd be considering the current state of things.
"No, we were just discussing how we're going to break my curse tonight."
"tonight?" she aks.
"Yeah, Aka and I are going to the Sanctuary, where my real body is at."
She raises and eyebrow, "And I'm not invited?"

She puts her hands on her hip, "Ok, I'm going to be real frank guys. You." She points to Tall, his stiffens at the gesture alone, "I'm not over this whole crazy psycho robo thing you pulled, and I don't trust you quite yet. But I'm willing to get over it too, I suppose..." She sighs. "However, not so much or so soon that I'm going to let Aka go alone with her being magicless. " Vin leans in foward threateningly with her eyes narrowed, "So one more dumb screw up and I'm making sure you end up in the incenerator, capeesh?" Tall nods quickly to the threat.
"Good," she quickly turns away, putting her hands on her hips, "...'cuz honestly, I don't want to have to do that. You're still our Kid, got that? Good--I'm going to get ready for this last mission then."

AKa tilts her head and watches the one-sided exchange, half amused, half confused. As Vinnie finishes up, she heads for the door, chuckling. SHe heads out the door, muttering, "I'm gonna go get something to eat..." The diamond is glowling, seeming very displeased, as it sits on the table.
