The two boys remained silent upon hearing this. It was going to be one of those world's, wasn't it? They ran into them from time to time, or worlds were magic had truly gone extinct (as compared to magical beings remaining in hiding), but they really preferred the type of world where magic was abundant and open. They were the kind of worlds you could enter and leave with the most friends of all sorts and new knowledge of all sorts. "Well, if anyone suspects anything of them, I'm good with disguises, or Sceatto can try out an illusion spell."
Keekoos suddenly gave a meow, and Sceatto startled. He quietly looked into his pocket, noting the various gold and silver coins were probably not the type of currency of this world. Without looking up, he seemingly suddenly asks, "Hey Evening, after you change and before we go out to eat, do you know of a pawn shop we can stop at?"

Evening looked at Sceatto, first surprise and then childish delight spreading across her features. "An illusion spell? Really? You can do that?" She smiled excitedly, and all of a sudden her rather subdued walk gained so much bounce in it's step that she seemed to be skipping. "That's so cool! Could you turn that tree into a..." She paused, thinking for a moment. "Into a...ice palace?" She turned to face him, walking backwards now, and stared at him with bright, glittering eyes as she waited to hear whether he could do such an amazing thing.
But then she remembered that he wanted to know whether or not she knew where to find a pawn shop. Her expression shifted, the smile becoming a frown and her gaze suddenly furtive. "You need to find a pawn shop? Why?" She sounded mistrustful of their motives, but this was a direct reflection of her own. Because she always brought things she shouldn't even have, that usually didn't even belong to her, into pawn shops, she was now wondering what these boys were up to.

Sceatto blinked, then started to get a wide grin from seeing her delight. "Well, I guess I could....but don't get me wrong, it's not so strong that if someone were to try and, say, enter or even touch the igloo that it'd keep working. I just thought we could use it to hide anything suspicious about your...erm...pets."
His latent mind-reading picks up her mistrust the second he mentions the pawn shop. It didn't matter that he could sense her mistrust emerged from the fact that she used the pawn shop to discard items she shouldn't have, but instead, his countenance reflected innocence, and he quickly brought up his hands in defense. "Oh--don't get me wrong. It's not that we're carrying anything bad on us....It's just that...."
Shiku, now knowing where Sceatto was going with this, turned to him, then slung his arm around his shoulder, grinned at Evening, and said in a perfectly calm, even chipper manner, "We're broke."
Sceatto shrugs a little, nodding in agreement. "So we need to sell some of our stuff so we can afford the meal." They both smiled charmingly, as if to say, Forgive us?
