Hey cool, they got new extras! I need to go make some stuff as well. They all look super cute Asila!

*grins* I couldn't resist the opportunity to go back and create new avatars for my characters! The reason I settled for some of the items I had originally was for lack of anything better, and now that so many months have passed and they have new stuff...well, I just wanted to see if I could find outfits I liked or replace things that just didn't seem to fit.

I could tell. Molly's wings seem a lot more appropriate than the feathery ones. I need to go back and redo some of mine too, as I needed black wings back then as well.

Honestly, I don't know why angel and demon wings weren't some of the first items on there! Everyone has either an angelic or a demonic character. *shakes head* I still kind of like Molly's original avatar, though. It reminds me of the movie cover of Constantine and just looks cool. *grins*

*nods in agreement* Yup. It's about as hot as a chibi can get ;D

Aaaand we have the next generation. (Except for my Guardians, who I didn't make avatars for since they are far too elegant and beautiful to portray as a chibified avatar. Not that these avatars really represent any character fairly. But they are cute.)

I've posted these under the profiles, too, but I want to explain a few things about them, so I decided to post them all together here.

First, we have Asila.

Ignore the tail. It is just something that I decided to take artistic liberty with. Since I couldn't find any cat ears on the tektek avatar site that both looked realistic and actually showed up, I had to settle for white elf ears. So I thought I would throw in the tiger tail to emphasize the fact that Asila has feline features. That, and it just looked nifty. So don't worry, I didn't suddenly change my mind and decide that Asila has a tail, after all.

Next, we have Zaq.

Yeah, this one was a blast. *sarcasm* I had a few issues, because I couldn't find a hairstyle that both looked right for him and had the colors I was looking for. So I had to try and change the colors using my paint program. So it doesn't really look all that great, but at least it is now more accurate than the previous light brown and gold color scheme allowed.
And then I got to paint the wolf, which had originally been black with pale yellow, pupil-less eyes, so that it resembled Zaq in his wolf form. I think the wolf turned out better, but I don't like how bright it is. Zaq would be a little less red, and a little more dark brown, but I had trouble finding the right colors with my cheap paint program.
But I'm pretty happy with this avatar, all in all.

Lastly, we have Tawny.

I'm actually over half-done shading the sketch, so I may even have that up by the beginning of next week, but just in case I don't, here's the avatar. It's pretty accurate, I just had to change the rat from gray to brown(should have been tan, but I couldn't find a shade that really worked for me on my Paint program) and erase the red flower that had come with that hairstyle.

I'm hoping to have the threads I'm in updated by the end of my break, if I can only focus my static-y, sunlight-deprived brain on my posts. Which I should be able to do, since I'm really beginning to miss writing despite all of my current anxious restlessness. *sighs* I'm so sick of not being able to focus.

...I had a soft spot for him back when I was first conceptualizing CM. But now that I've finally created a visual image to go along with his description and realize that he looks kind of like V...

*mindless drooling*

*snaps out of it* No! I must not become attached! He's going to die on me!

Yeeaah. Of course, he looks less like V than the avatar implies. So now drawing him is going to be on my to do list. Along with finishing the Tawny portrait. *sighs*

I really need to be shot for wasting so much time on the gaia avatar site, again.

But before anyone does just that, my excuse is that I had a bit of an anxiety attack and decided to calm myself by doing something that was fun, didn't require much concentration, and was semi-artistic. Still, if I'd known I'd waste as much time as I did... *sighs*

Anyway, here's a new Molly and a formal Ellina. For Molly, I was going for atmosphere and a slightly different look. For Ellina, I had to settle for the blue-ish bird because the phoenix I found wouldn't show up. The same way that Evenings wolf doesn't show up. But my preference for the phoenix was mostly for aesthetic reasons, because the blue-white bird represents Phoenix just as well. Only in her youngest phase.

Lastly, this is the one from Nothing. Kind of. The avatar site can be so limited, but I tried to get as close to my written description as I could. The background was partly a for fun thing, and partly a I-could-really-see-her-in-this-setting thing.
