Rojo laughed, then looked over the side of the boat into the blue waters below "Good thing we're getting there via the master sea..."

"Why do you say that? Are the other seas more dangerous?"

"Much more..." he says, putting his handin the water and flex it around "For example, if this were the green sea, my hand would have just been grabbed by something and we would all most likely be dead. And if it was the Black Sea, then my handwould have either dropped off, grabbed by something pretending to be something else, or we would be lured to our deaths by sirens."

Devon winces, "How can ANYONE sail such seas then?"

"Ah, that's the trick. Sailors have got lucky charms. O' course it's the enchanted stuff you need. Wards against the sirens. Don't put your hands in the water is the first rule a pirate learns. It's the two-hundred and ninety-first rule a Hero learns. An' if you're going via green sea. If you've got a fast ship, a good crew, a good wizard or a whole bunch of luck, you'll get through. There's a safe pass through there too. Series of caves. But then again...the biggest monster of all lives down there, or so they say."

Devon blinks, "How is that supposed to be safe then?" Devon never imagined that a world could be so overrun by danger and monsters. Venera was relatively peaceful compared to this....

"Well, 'cause no one's ever seen the biggest one of them all. Mainly 'cause it eats them. But y'know...people adapt, learn to survive."

"That's not the point! You said the caves were the safe route, but I don't see how it supposed to be safe if people get eaten by cave monsters!"

"Having a chance of being eaten by one big monster is better than the prospect of being eaten by many monsters, no?" Rojo looks at Devon, raising his eyebrows.

He pauses, "I suppose so....but still. You might be able to fight off many little, weaker monsters, but not the one big one."

"Meh...the point is we're not in the Green Sea at the present moment and the beasties hardly ever swim out here. Temperature differences, see?"

Devon nods, "And a good thing too. I don't know if I'd be ready to face sea monsters--much less in this small, but charming vessel."

Rojo shrugs and grins "I've fought the leviathan in a vessel quite like this one...very scary..." he shuddered for a moment, then pointed on to the horizon "Land" If Devon looked around, he would see a silouhette of the main land of Yorl.

"Excellent!" he said, forgetting all the pessimistic thoughts of sea creatures as he became excited about their arrival.

"You seem excited..." Rojo couldn't comprehend how excited Devon could be...
