All related to each other? That's by FAR the cheapest way to make the characters "connected." Besides, being related doesn't necessarily imply that you could be connected in a story sense...or even in real life. I have loads of cousins in Mexico I'm not even aware of! We're related, but not at all connected.

Why didn't you try to refute the stupid ideas? You are a member of the group too Rojo! Your opinion counts. Besides, people tend only to use the dumb ideas if they can't think of anything better. If you had mentioned a better idea, they might have gone along with it.

Maybe you could complain to the teacher then. Say that you're being completely ignored. I mean, you're still at that age where if you make a complaint to the teacher, they have to hear you out, since most teachers fear having angry-parent-encounters. (Trust me, my mom works at a school.)
