((XD And I thought I used to say weird things as a child))
Isn't that a bit...y'know...cheating? *Stares at all the gasoline* Oh, well.

((*huffs indignantly* It's not that weird! I thought it was a clever thing to say at the time!))
*pours way too much gasoline onto the stick pile, tosses aside the now empty gas can, and lights a match*
You know, I've never started a fire with gasoline before. It's supposed to be a really bad idea, but trying to start a fire with kindling takes too long! *throws match onto pile, causing the sticks to go up in a ball flame and getting scorched.*
*comically coughs smoke* Ow.

*starts laughing uncontrollably* Yeah, I know. Because I am just that clever in real life. I think I get it from my grandpa.
When we were at the vacation trailer he nearly set the forest on fire. We had to put out the trees in the front yard with a hose! I can't believe that actually worked...
But you promised smores, so where's the goods? *expectantly holds out hand*

Well, I don't know about those, but there are these really nice things called twislers I learned to make, they're very nice... *Holds out some cooked dough on a stick with jam on it to Asila* They're really...erm, nice?
((They actually are))

*looks at the stick doubtfully before shrugging and holding it over the fire* Why not? If I tried a ketchup, peanut butter, and egg sandwich before I can definitely try this.

Salzar: *mumbling* you're a bloody numbfuck, that's what you are....

Aw, why didn't I ever respond to your fun post, Seven? What was I thinking? *is dismayed* And for that matter, how has it been over two years since we first started talking about CM? Holy shit, I am a monumental slacker. Good think I'm trying out another batch of anti-depression/anxiety meds. I need to moderate my unbalanced mind somehow. I have certainly been less than functional for quite some time now. Anyhoo, I think we're going to need to figure a few things out if we're going to continue CM. Pan is out, so we'll have to figure out how we're going to move on. Should we just consider those threads dead and free up the characters who are currently engaged in them to do something else? I've been thinking about that one, and I don't really like it. I wouldn't want the 'This is Now' thread to end. I think everyone's really got something good going it. It would be nice to find a way to continue it. Maybe we can alter it so that it's just Mireta who's stumbled upon the Forsaken search party and move on from there? As for Prometheus' room, I find that it's going to be hard to extract Somriad because there is too much leading up to his arrival. He had to abruptly put aside his work with Rena, something he would only do with good reason. Should we just assume that Prometheus indeed had captured a rebel, and that Somriad had made quick work of her in an interrogation once he decided she wasn't Forsaken material? We could then just go ahead and assume that she'd been dumped in one of Styxx Penitentiary's cells and would be burned with the others when the time came. Or that is what I need to have Somriad believe. He wouldn't settle for anything less. And we are not entirely without a spy, after all. But I really need some input concerning this. Since everyone has characters involved, everyone deserves to have a say in the matter.

Well, actually (and mind you, this is very much just a little thought bouncing around my mind), I am trying to recruit one of the friends I made here into joining. She seems to be interested, she just needs to either read through CM or have me explain it to her (to make things faster). This is where the little idea has come in.
Pan is leaving, my friend might be entering. It would be all too easy if my friend simply took over Pan's characters Serene and Taekgi. I showed them to her, and she seemed interested in playing them. We would just need to have Pan's permission to let someone else take over her characters. And, even if she doesn't permit it, we might still be able to just put in characters of my friend in the same position. Or, if my friend doesn't join, I could take over the characters. Either way we go, we don't need to let that die.
We just need Rojo back. Has anyone seen him?

Hopefully she can join...it would be nice to have fresh blood. I was even thinking about advertising. Though if I advertise, I will probably turn into a rude admin, because I get tired of people who have to have characters that don't really fit into the constructs of CM.
And I don't know what's up with Rojo. He hasn't signed into Foxflame recently and he hasn't responded to my messages on Facebook since the first day I started asking people to come back. Does Aka know what he's up to?

Yeah, I know what you mean. *grins* I feel bad to say, but remember your friend who tried to insert a Pirate character into CM? That was by far the most randomly placed construct in the mix. I mean...a pirate? *facepalm*
Yeah... I don't know. Aka is gone for the weekend, but I'll ask her on Monday when she comes back if she's heard from Rojo since, and what he says if he has. I really don't want to lose him since he's been one of the best rpers on FF ever, but if he doesn't want to come back... *grimace* I guess that's his choice, unfortunately. I know CM slipped, but I feel like it's really my fault for letting FF die all together.

Yeah, I remember the pirate situation. What can I say, I don't have any friends who are all that talented when it comes to text-based role-playing. Outside of Foxflame's circle, that is.
And it's not your fault that CM slipped. It's mine. I wound up feeling so over-responsible, and putting so much effort into a written background for CM, and trying to be fair and reply to all threads equally that I just burnt myself out and couldn't continue. I'm beginning to learn that I can still be fair, but I have to work within the constraints of my mind instead of trying to fight them. I just break down when I do.
But it's not fair to use it as an excuse. I messed up, and just because I feel I'm ready to go all out with CM in a way I wasn't before doesn't mean I won't lose half the players. *sighs*

No, I didn't mean CM, I mean FF in general. I mean, even after CM died, people were still coming on. I feel like Rojo was attempting to make RPs with me. I guess I got into a bit of a funk myself with FF's lack of major, structured RPs, but maybe I should have tried a bit harder. He used to come on everyday, and then I just started to fall off the face of the earth. If he doesn't come back, I feel like it'd be my fault more than anything. Perhaps CM went on hiatus, but I failed to keep in regular contact with him. I know I've been busy since my intern in Oregon, but it wasn't very fair to him.

Don't guilt trip yourself too much. Things like just happen to everyone as they get older. It's a common thing among older role-players. I surfed a lot of forums in the beginning and I noticed that a lot of the more serious ones, put together by older, talented writers, died as events cropped up in the lives of the role-players and they failed to post regularly. It's rough, but it happens. Hopefully Rojo will forgive both of us and come back. If not...then we can curse how complicated things get once you become an adult.
