He blinks at the maze, perhaps its slight worry, "it's not a magical maze, is it?" he almost instictively takes one step closer to her.

"No. But a few generations ago, one of my relatives spent a long time trying to solve it. He'd go in, run around for a few hours trying to get out, and then get terribly lost and just jump back out. Finally, he decided that that was completely contrary to the point, closed off the shadows around it so it can't be jumped into or out of, and promptly got lost for a week." She smirks. "No one's ever bothered to open it back up. It's more fun this way." She starts walking in, ignores the first two turns and takes a left at the third.

Tall follows closely behind her, almost as if he were a little scittish, "has anyone ever beat this maze?"

She smiles wryly. "I have it memorized." SHe passes a turn and then takes another left.

"Nope. Unless you fall behind or wander off, we'll be fine." She walks in silence for a few minutes, tkaing precise turns, until the maze opens up into a small garden. There's a small fountain in one corner, some fruit trees, (Yes, there's the radioactive kiwi) and a swing hanging in one corner.

"aww...how cute! do some others have the maze memorized, to take care of this garden?" he asks curiously, "or does it remain untouched by magic?"

"Completely untouched. The only reason I have it memorized is because I spent two weeks in here when I was thirteen." SHe goes over to one of the fruit trees and pulls down a ripe specimen. She sinks down into the swing and takes a bite.

"did you get lost--or were you just intending to stay in here for that long?" he also picks a kiwi from the tree, taking a seat on the corner of the fountain's ledge.

"It is. I love this little nook. No one else ever comes here. Everyone tends to avoid the maze." SHe glances out at on of the exits from the garden. "Not even Darad and Radar follow me in here."

Tall finally decides to eat his. He pulls out a random pocket knife (which seems to have verious other things that could flip out) and cuts the fruit into delicate slices.
