[ ]Thornfield Mansion
This is the lair of Malevolos. It is an imposing building wrought of storm gray stone. Battlements ridge the top of it's walls like the spines of a sleeping beast and each of it's four walls ends in a cylindrical turret. If you have the misfortune to visit it, you will think you have stumbled upon a medieval castle. Tresspassers should beware of the gargoyles. They aren't always so still.

in Having returned to dust.
[ ]Devil's Peak National Forest
Thousands of acres of untouched, old-growth forest that surround Thornfield Mansion and edge the north and west sides of Metropolis. Rock formations rise from the canopy of century-old trees, the red color of the granite giving the forest it's name.

[ ]Shipwreck Rock
A massive rock formation named for the vague resemblance it shares with the hull of a sinking ship. It towers hundreds of feet over the surrounding forest and is composed of the same red granite that characterizes the other rock formations here, though Shipwreck Rock is by far the largest. It is so tall that the trees stop growing a hundred feet before you reach the top, though there is, oddly enough, a single, twisted tree at the edge of the steepest cliff that has been bleached silver by the weather and the passage of years.

[ ]Hills of Eternity Cemetary
An old cemetery filled with enough weathered mausoleums and stone angels to make anyone with a love of Gothic majesty stroll through this peaceful final resting place of the deceased with expressions of silent awe.

[ ]The Museum of the Occult
A run-down tourist attraction that's been closed up for a few years now. It features relics from exotic cultures and shocking relics from various religions. This is the type of place where you will find voodoo dolls and shrunken heads.

[ ]Metropolis
A city that is only just large enough to earn the name. There is well-maintained historic district, plenty of interesting shops, the expected collection of chain restaurants and mainstream stores. The only thing it really lacks is the mall that goes with the larger, sprawling cities. But that is part of Metropolis' charm. It is a nice, scenic place that lacks the sprawling, treeless subdivisions with identical houses that are more of an eye-sore than anything else.
00
[ ]The Weatherwax Institution for the Gifted
A condemned school building that is said to be haunted. There are rumors that something terribly happened here, as well as an exaggerated urban legend circulating amongst the youth of Metropolis that is a truly frightening story. Rusty red stains still taint the graying walls and the voices of children are said to echo through the halls...
